In a statement posted to his Facebook page, Florida congressman Allen West calls President Obama's decision "to unleash his campaign cronies against our Military ... unconscionable."
"As a retired Army officer I am appalled at the Obama administration’s actions to bring a lawsuit against the State of Ohio for the early voting privileges it extends to our Men and Women serving in uniform," West writes. "To have the Commander in Chief make our US Servicemen and Women the target of a political attack to benefit his reelection actions is reprehensible. The voting privilege extended to these Warriors who represent the best among us should not be a part of the collective vision of this inept President who is more concerned about his reelection than sequestration. As a Combat Veteran, for this President to unleash his campaign cronies against our Military is unconscionable….how dare this President compare the service, sacrifice, and commitment of those who Guard our liberties not as special and seek to compare them to everyone else. Barack Obama is undeserving of the title Commander-in-Chief."
West's statement is in response to the Obama campaign last month calling Ohio's early voting law "unconstitutional." As Bloomberg reported then:

GOP asks White House for details of personal email use

Congressional Republicans asked the Obama administration on Friday for a list of White House staffers' personal email addresses used to conduct government business -- and copies of messages sent from those accounts -- amid new scrutiny of presidential aides' use of non-official accounts.
"The American people have a right to know that White House staff and federal officials are conducting the business of the government transparently and in accordance with record-keeping statutes," Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, wrote in a Friday letter to White House chief of staff Jack Lew.

The request comes after another House committee released a report earlier this week that included messages that Jim Messina, now the president's campaign manager, and other White House staffers sent and received from non-official accounts.
Issa is giving Lew until August 17 to provide a list of all White House officials who have used personal email addresses to send or receive messages that would be covered by the Presidential Records Act or the Federal Records Act.
For each of those people, Issa wants the personal email addresse used and for the White House to "identify any messages not forwarded to a government address." He is also asking for "any memoranda or other guidance available to White House staff related to the use of private e-mail accounts."
White House spokesman Eric Schultz said “[c]ounsel is reviewing the letter and will respond as appropriate."
"But let’s be clear that this is nothing more than a nakedly political, taxpayer-funded effort designed to serve partisan interests, over an issue which House Republicans have already conceded is not serious,” he added.
Issa's request cites Stephanie Cutter, a deputy Obama campaign manager who previously worked in the Obama White House, saying earlier this week that while staffers have personal addresses and may sometimes use them to keep up with longstanding relationships, "at the White House we were all instructed for official business to just forward those emails into the White House system. And so that's what we've all done."
While Issa, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus and others in the GOP are now calling for fuller disclosure of White House staffers' communications, Republicans weren't quite so eager when George W. Bush was in the White House.
A Republican staff memo from early 2008, for instance, noted that “The White House is NOT required to preserve and retain every communication or piece of paper ever created. The PRA merely requires presidential decision making to be adequately documented. It should be noted there is no penalty for violating the PRA and it is arguable whether there is a judicial enforcement mechanism.”

Reading the Fake Reuters Reports on Syria

As my colleague Christine Haughney reports on Media Decoder, Reuters temporarily suspended the operation of its blogging platform on Friday after the news agency said its Web site was hacked and false reports of setbacks for Syrian rebels were posted online.
In a statement, Reuters said, “Our blogging platform was compromised and fabricated blog posts were falsely attributed to several Reuters journalists.” The company said it had no idea who was behind the hacking, but archived copies of two items posted on the news site suggest that they were not written by native English speakers.
One of the fake reports, posted on a blog written by Jeffrey Goldfarb, a commentator on investment banking, appeared under the headline “Riad Al-Asaad: Syrian Free Army Pulls Back Tactically From Aleppo.” According to a copy of the post found in Google’s cache by The Atlantic Wire, the report claimed that the commander of the rebel Free Syrian Army had “confirmed on a phone call to Reuters that the regular army killed 1000 soldiers of Free Syrian Army and arrest around 1500.”
Continuing in similarly fractured English, the phony Mr. Goldfarb added:
In his first unlikely “unusual” statement, Al-Asaad said that the Syrian Free Army will withdraw from all Syrian cities due to the huge losses caused upon the soldiers, as well, the betrays made by Free Army soldiers, due to the within inside clashes appeared among them, for money and positions.
Riad Al-Asaad accused Qatar and Saudi Arabia of betraying him; dealing secretly with the Syrian regime.
He revealed that Riyadh and Doha has made a secret deal with Damascus to eliminate the Syrian Free Army for investments and privileges in Syria.
The editor of the blog Moon of Alabama, who writes as Bernhard and was initially taken in by the false posts, managed to capture a screenshot of what seemed to be a later, slightly more polished version of that report before it was removed from the Reuters site. That version of the post, which contained linguistic and factual errors of its own — like calling the Gregorian calendar the “Georgian calendar,” also reported as if it were a matter of fact that the Syrian rebels “are expected to re-coordinate in Turkish territory where they have set up secret bases under the close supervision with the Turkish government and the Israeli intelligence service.”
Moon of Alabama’s editor also saved an image of a second fake post, “Rebel Resistance Collapses in Key Suburbs,” which appeared under the byline of Frederick Kempe, a former Wall Street Journal reporter who now leads the Atlantic Council, a Washington research institution.
That fake blog post, which was also written in the form of a wire service news report, not an analytical commentary, began with similar news of catastrophe for the rebels in Aleppo, and similar errors of grammar and syntax.
The Syrian rebels fighting the forces of Assad have fallen in key districts of their stronghold Salah Al Deen in Aleppo. This comes hours after the army has announced that it has destroyed the communication network provided by Turkey. Earlier the rebel forces have complained that they are running low on ammunition as the city has been completely surrounded by government forces, coupled with lack of communications, has left the rebels in disarray. Several trucks with mounted heavy machine guns have been destroyed, leading to the deaths of 20 rebels.
Mr. Kempe’s impostor also embedded a YouTube video said to show Syrian government tanks on the move, set to martial music, and made note of a report from a “journalist on the ground, Hussein Mortada.” Mr. Mortada, who is not usually cited by Western news organizations as a credible source of information, is a Lebanese supporter of the Syrian government who runs the Damascus bureau of Iran’s state television channels. He was in the news in April, when a trove of hacked e-mails obtained by The Guardian included what appeared to be a message from Mr. Mortada to a Syrian government media adviser, suggesting a change in strategy.
At the time, Mr. Mortada denied that he had advised President Bashar al-Assad’s government and defended his work for Iranian television in an interview with the Arab newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat.
As the Moon of Alabama blogger noted, another journalist working for Iranian state television in Syria, Maya Naser, drew attention to the post mentioning Mr. Mortada on Twitter.

That reporter’s recent dispatches from Aleppo for Press TV, an English-language satellite channel owned by Iran’s government, have suggested that life in the city remains calm for most residents. In a report posted online on Friday, Mr. Naser passed on Syrian military claims that they were fighting foreigners, not Syrians, in Aleppo.

Late Friday, Press TV claimed that Syrian opposition figures had made death threats against both Mr. Mortada and Mr. Naser “over their factual coverage of ongoing clashes in the restive northwestern city of Aleppo.”

Syrian rebels ignore world's fears in struggle for Aleppo

Battle for Syrian city appears to be nearing decisive phase with reinforcements continuing to bolster Free Syrian Army

Fighting raged across Syria on Friday as Bashar al-Assad's armed forces pounded opposition strongholds after the shock resignation of the UN peace envoy Kofi Annan left the international community scrambling for effective policies.
Rebel-held areas of the northern city of Aleppo came under attack from artillery, helicopters and fighter jets, though an expected government ground offensive did not materialise. The UN had predicted on Thursday that an attack was imminent. Battles erupted near the heart of Aleppo for the first time in the fortnight-long battle. Rebels claimed to control parts of the northeast, east and south of the city, but western Aleppo remained a regime stronghold.
The battle for Syria's second city appears to be nearing a decisive phase with reinforcements continuing to bolster the Free Syrian Army (FSA) ranks. Several hundred fighters arrived from Idlib and Hama and rebel leaders say thousands more are expected before what they claim will be new phase in the fight sometime next week.
The road northeast from Aleppo through al-Bab to the Turkish border is now in regime hands, securing a vital supply line to Turkey.
Regime jets continued to soar across the skies of Aleppo as did helicopters. Rebel leaders believe that regime forces would fight till the end to defend the centre of the world's oldest city and are congregating around key government buildings and renowned landmarks such as the Grand Mosque and the ancient citadel in the centre.
Video clips posted on the internet showed columns of smoke rising from the Salahedin neighbourhood after an attack by unidentified combat planes. Another image showed a girls' school badly damaged, apparently by shell fire, though it remains impossible to verify the content of the videos.
"Fighting seems to have really intensified," reported a local activist who tweets as Edward Dark. "But no side seems to have the upper hand for now." On Thursday hundreds of elite Republican Guards were seen arriving at the city's airport. Food and fuel shortages and the humanitarian situation have worsened.
In Damascus at least 20 people were reported killed late on Thursday when mortar shells hit the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp in an apparent spillover from fighting in the nearby suburb of Tadamon, where the government used tanks and armoured vehicles to drive out fighters of the FSA. A lack of fuel prevented the transportation of the injured to field hospitals. Sana, the Syrian state news agency, blamed the bombardment on "terrorist mercenaries".
Violence was also reported from Homs and Hama in the centre of Syria, Deir al-Zour in the east and Dera'a in the south, attesting to the fact that the uprising has spread throughout the country.
Annan's resignation statement that the increasing militarisation of the conflict was making his mission impossible has been borne out by reports of government forces using artillery and air power and the rebels using tanks for the first time to attack a military airport north of Aleppo.
Control of Aleppo is crucial not only because of its size but also because it could help the opposition carve out a safe zone across the whole of northern Syria including the Turkish border.
The former UN chief blamed the international community for "finger-pointing" and recriminations which had undermined his mission to mediate in the 17-month long uprising, which has claimed an estimated 20,000 lives.
But Annan's six-point peace plan, based on a ceasefire that never took hold and UN monitors who could report on killings but not stop them, had been moribund for weeks before he quit.
William Hague, the foreign secretary, admitted on Friday that diplomacy had failed but he insisted that efforts to deal with Syria would continue. "Diplomacy has not worked so far, diplomacy has so far failed the people of Syria," Hague told the BBC. "That doesn't mean that we give up on diplomacy."
Alistair Burt, the junior Foreign Office minister responsible for the Middle East, confirmed the UK would be providing further communications equipment to the opposition in Syria in the next month. It has already provided humanitarian assistance and other "non-lethal" aid.
US media reported this week that President Barack Obama has signed a covert order authorising support, presumably by the CIA, for Syrian rebels, but that is not thought to include weapons deliveries.
In New York, the UN general assembly which comprises all 193 member states, was preparing to vote on a resolution condemning Syria's use of heavy weapons and protesting at the failures of the security council, where the five permanent member states have vetoes. The text was put forward by Saudi Arabia, which openly supports the anti-Assad rebels. The Syrian UN ambassador, Bashar Ja'afari, called it a "strange paradox" that the states which were sponsoring the resolution were fuelling the violence.
The language was watered down by removing a demand that Assad resign and a call for other countries to impose sanctions on Syria. It still criticised Russia and China – which have three times vetoed action against Syria – by "deploring the security council failure" to act.
Ban ki-Moon, the UN secretary-general, told the assembly before the vote: "As we meet here, Aleppo … is the epicentre of a vicious battle between the Syrian government and those who wish to replace it. The acts of brutality that are being reported may constitute crimes against humanity or war crimes. Such acts must be investigated and the perpetrators held to account."
Amnesty International urged the Free Syrian Army to carry out an "impartial, independent and comprehensive" investigation into the killings of 14 members of the Berri clan in Aleppo this week. Members of the Sunni pro-government clan were shown in a video, allegedly filmed by the FSA, being shot dead. The FSA described what appeared to be a summary execution as revenge for killings of its fighters, but later condemned it.
"Killing captives is a serious violation of international humanitarian law and a war crime," warned Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa director Philip Luther. "The FSA leadership have a duty to end such violations immediately."
The Russian defence ministry denied reports that Moscow is sending three warships carrying some 360 marines to the Syrian port of Tartous.Article history

MIAMI – More than $52 million worth of contraband, seized in international waters off the coast of Central America, were offloaded by the Coast Guard Cutter Tampa's crew at the Port of Tampa, Friday.
The seized contraband came from two separate interdictions in the western Caribbean Sea.
A joint effort between the crews aboard the Coast Guard Cutters Forward and Venturous resulted in the seizure of more than 35 pounds of cocaine off a 40-foot go-fast vessel and a 25-foot go-fast vessel July 22. The crews took 12 suspects into custody and seized approximately $430,000 worth of contraband.
The Tampa's crew boarded a 25-foot go-fast vessel and detained five suspected smugglers Monday. The vessel was carrying more than 4,200 pounds of cocaine and marijuana. The result of the seizure was approximately $52 million worth of contraband.
“Seizures at sea are the most efficient and cost-effective way to keep contraband off the streets of America,” said Cmdr. Timothy Cronin, 7th Coast Guard District assistant chief of enforcement. "The crews of the Venturous, Forward, and Tampa performed admirably during these interdictions. As part of Operation Martillo, they demonstrated the importance of working with our partner nations and agencies to prevent illicit narcotics from crossing national borders."
The interdictions were part of Operation Martillo. The operation is a joint, interagency, international operation designed to deny transnational criminal organizations air, land and maritime use of Central American transshipment routes for illicit drugs, weapons and cash.
During the same patrol, Tampa's crew members rescued three people aboard the 41-foot recreational boat, Poseidon IV, disabled and adrift for two days in the Caribbean Sea, July 28, 2012.
Crewmembers aboard the Poseideon IV contacted watchstanders at the 7th Coast Guard District reporting they were in distress.
Tampa's crew was notified and diverted to the Poseidon IV to render assistance.
Due to an alternator casualty causing a small fire, the Poseidon IV was unable to energize navigational lights making them difficult to locate. Crewmembers aboard the Tampa requested the vessel issue continuous distress calls in order to locate them by radio.
At approximately 4 a.m., a lookout crewmember spotted the Poseidon IV.
“Over the horizon I saw a dim light,” said Seaman Jonathan Folger, a lookout crewmember aboard the Tampa. “I hoped it was the vessel in distress, so we could assist them.”
Tampa’s crew members boarded the vessel to conduct a safety inspection and attempted repairs. The nature of the casualty made repairs at sea impossible. The cutter's crew took the Poseidon IV and crew in tow and later transferred them to the Honduran Navy, who towed them into port.
Medium endurance cutters like the Tampa, Venturous and Forward are slated for replacement by new Offshore Patrol Cutters. The new OPCs will operate more than 50 miles from land, carrying out the Coast Guard's maritime security and safety activities in support of national interests. The OPC will be an economical, multi-mission ship, providing pursuit boat and helicopter capabilities and interoperability with other military and federal partners, superior to the cutters they replace. Equipped with modern sensors, the OPCs will provide the enhanced surveillance necessary to detect threats far from U.S. shores and meet the demands of the Coast Guard’s homeland security, search and rescue, law enforcement and other vital missions.

RBS Fires Employees Over Libor Scandal As Profits Drop: Report

LONDON, Aug 3 (Reuters) - State-controlled Royal Bank of Scotland said on Friday it has dismissed employees over an interest rate rigging scandal, but gave no indication of whether it would reach a settlement soon with investigating authorities.

Reporting a drop in first-half operating profits, RBS said it was co-operating with governments and regulators which are investigating the role of a number of banks in the setting of Libor and other inter-bank lending rates.

"The Libor situation is a stark reminder of the damage that individual wrongdoing and inadequate systems and controls can have in terms of financial and reputational impact," Chief Executive Stephen Hester said.

RBS said it was being investigated by regulators in the United States, Britain and Japan and by competition authorities in Europe, the United States and Canada. However, it was not possible to measure reliably what effect the inquiries would have, including the timing and amount of fines or settlements.

"I think that the regulators must decide how they want to deal with the situation," Hester told reporters on a conference call.

The announcement marked the first time RBS has confirmed it fired staff for misconduct in the Libor scandal, which has already cost Barclays chief Bob Diamond his job.

RBS has declined to name the dismissed staff. However sources with knowledge of the matter said last month that RBS had fired four traders. They said Tan Chi Min, Paul White, Neil Danziger and investment adviser Andrew Hamilton were sacked at the end of last year. None was available for comment.

New details from court documents and sources suggest that groups of traders working at three major European banks, including RBS were heavily involved.

Tan, the former head of delta trading for RBS in Singapore, was fired in November for allegedly trying to influence the banks' rate setters improperly. He is suing RBS for unfair dismissal, alleging the practice of traders providing input to rate setters was widely known among senior managers at the bank.

Rival Barclays was fined $453 million last month by U.S. and UK regulators after staff reported false interbank rates - the interest charged when banks lend to each other - that were above or below the real rates. Rates reported by a panel of banks are used to calculate Libor.

Thomson Reuters Corp is the British Bankers' Association's official agent for the daily calculation and publishing of Libor.


HESTER UNDER PRESSURE

The Libor scandal has heaped pressure on Hester, who was appointed CEO four years ago to rebuild the bank and its reputation following a bailout in 2008.

RBS, which is 82 percent-owned by the government, reported a first-half operating profit of 1.83 billion pounds ($2.8 billion), down from 1.97 billion in the same period last year. The bank made a statutory pretax loss of 1.5 billion pounds, which included a 2.9 billion pounds accounting loss due to a rise in the value of its own debt.

Shares in RBS were up 5 percent to 214.7 pence at 1000GMT, with the Stoxx Europe 600 banking sector index up 2.3 percent.

"We see this set of numbers as in line with expectations. With recent negative headlines, this may generate some amount of relief in the stock," said analysts at Nomura.

RBS said it had also taken a 125 million-pound hit from costs arising from a computer systems failure in June which prevented customers using their accounts, and could face additional costs when the full scale of the disruption becomes clear.

Regulators in Britain and Ireland were looking into the incident and RBS could face legal claims from customers affected by the glitch which resulted in payments not being processed properly.

Britain's banks are also facing a bill running into billions of pounds to address claims of mis-selling various financial products.

RBS said it had set aside a further 135 million pounds to compensate customers mis-sold loan insurance, taking its total provision so far to 1.3 billion pounds.

The bank also said on Friday the planned flotation of its insurance arm, Direct Line, was on track and planned for October this year.

British government sources told Reuters on Thursday that it had no plans to nationalise RBS fully, contradicting a report in the Financial Times.

Just as itler was not a native-born German, but an Austrian, Obuma is, in my opinion, a native-born Kenyan, not an American.
The Socialist media is screaming for Romney’s tax records – and they know he has provided all he needs to disclose. This same Progressive (read Socialist) media blocks attempts to demand copies of Obuma’s college registration forms, class records, and other information. Who arranged for Obuma to attend college? Did he get a scholarship? Show us the records! Did someone pay his way through? Give us the name(s)!
Who arranged and paid for all the things required for someone who has never worked at a “regular” job, who has no business experience, especially at the corporate level, and who has never been fully vetted, to run for President?
In the stellar tradition of Jonathan Edwards, America’s “most important and original philosophical theologian” Manning exemplifies the man of the cloth who so loves his people that he exhorts them in the strongest terms possible to change their ways.  “The debauchery, killing each other in Chicago, Detroit, New York . . and no outcry, the only word that describes this social behavior is the N word (he actually says it),” says Manning. The Harlem preacher who has been roundly denounced by the country’s liberal establishment (including the media) has even been investigated by the FBI. He is telling his people he is disgusted by the subversion of America’s Constitution by our courts, our Congress, our media, our police, even the Clintons, Sarah Palin, Bill O’Reilly, and John McCain for protecting Obama even as they ignore the Obama eligibility questions!

He calls out the dishonorable black men who abandon their babies for government entitlement checks as being especially abhorrent!  The tradition of hellfire and brimstone American preachers started back in the colonial days when preachers like Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield delivered such moving sermons to their congregations that entire revivalist movements spurred Americans to avoid the wages of sin.  “Sinners in the Hand of an Angry God” is Edwards’ most famous sermon that literally scared his flock into redemption by images of fiery pits and eternal damnation in the depths of Hell.  Manning’s sermon genre is speaking to audiences now in what a Presbyterian minister is calling America’s state of moral confusion.

If you don’t know who Rev. Manning is. He’s been pursuing BHO’s eligibility in court for a long time. He knows BHO is not eligible and he’s been doing everything he can to prove it and get BHO off the ballot. You can find lots and lots of his videos on YouTube. Very strong American, Rev. Manning. If I lived anywhere close to NYC and Harlem in particular, I would sit in the front pew to hear him preach!!! God bless you, Rev. Manning!!!!
I also would have loved to have been at that sermon. Rev. Manning and Allen West need to get together as they are on the same page and I believe the two of them could DEFINATELY straighten things out. Obama is a disgrace to his own race and a disgrace to America.
The very first thing blacks have to understand that Obama doesn’t really care about blacks because he doesn’t consider himself as black he only uses the color of skin as way to get votes notthing more nothing less sad but very true.

You saw him get involved with the Cuban and black boy that was killed by the Cuban even going so far as the boy could have been his son. Why did he get involved because it was white skinned man against a black and I am sure there is so much more but you can tell he really doesn’t care.
Another thing that NOBODY has addressed he NOT An American he was born in Kenya so why should he care about American Blacks when he isn’t even connected to them in no way shape or form.

Veepstakes: The Case for Jindal

Whom should Romney pick to run with him?  Rob Portman, Tim Pawlenty, Condi Rice, John Thune, Marco Rubio, Susana Martinez, and Kelly Ayotte are names that keep popping up.  But the best choice might be Bobby Jindal, whose term as governor of Louisiana will end in 2013.  Notably, Governor Jindal has been successful as a governor and as a political leader in Louisiana.
Jindal just turned forty-one, which would make him one of the youngest people ever to run for vice president.  His youth also means that if Romney wins and is re-elected, in 2020, Vice President Jindal would be a boyish 49-year-old who could win the nomination without much party division.  At the same time, though, despite his youth, Jindal has a résumé of breathtaking brilliance.  In fact, if put on the ticket, Bobby Jindal might be the most intellectually gifted person ever nominated to national office.   He had offers to work in the private sector and doubtless become very rich, but he chose public service instead.
Critically, Jindal's particular area of expertise is medicine and public health.  He has served in the latter sector with distinction.  In 1995, then-24-year-old Jindal was named secretary of health and hospitals for the State of Louisiana.  Three years later, the 27-year-old Jindal was made executive director of the National Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare.  Three years later, in 2001, Jindal, then thirty years old, was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate as assistant secretary of health and human services for planning and evaluation.  No politician in America has a stronger background from which to attack ObamaCare than Jindal has.
Aside from experience as an analyst and administrator of public health systems, Jindal also has served two terms in Congress and is finishing out his second term as governor of Louisiana.  Louisiana has had the most corrupt government in America, but the Jindal administration has been remarkably clean.  His executive brilliance as governor stands in stark contrast to our hapless president.  The bond rating for Louisiana state bonds has risen under his leadership -- an accomplishment even the Democrat media in the state acknowledged, in stark contrast to what has happened to other states' bond ratings or our federal bond rating.
In 2008, when Hurricane Gustav hit Louisiana, Jindal's aggressive actions on behalf of Louisianans received broad bipartisan praise, and Jindal was noted as behaving much more competently than Governor Blanco or Mayor Nagin when Hurricane Katrina hit the state.  Jindal also placed concern for his citizens above political plums: he was scheduled, when the hurricane hit, to address the Republican National Convention, but he chose to place the duties of his office above a chance to make a national speech.
More pointedly, when the BP oil spill occurred, Jindal moved very quickly to protect the citizens of Louisiana, and he did an excellent job by everyone's account.  The reaction of Obama in April 2010, however, was clownish and disastrous.  Jindal can help Americans remember just how dangerous it is to have a president who has no clue about what he is doing.  Significantly, Jindal can explain just how much of a hindrance the federal government can be to effective response by state and local governments.  Jindal can also speak personally and eloquently about the loss of good-paying jobs in the Gulf region caused by Obama's politically inspired and scientifically absurd moratorium on offshore oil operations.
Jindal meets all the criteria which any conservative could want.  His is adamantly pro-life.  He has a perfect rating from both the NRA and Gun Owners of America.  Jindal has cut taxes in Louisiana six times.  He has also line-item vetoed more than 250 earmarks in the state budget -- more than any prior governor.  He has signed the Louisiana Academic Freedom Act, which allows for the teaching of Intelligent Design along with other scientific explanations for the development of life.
Jindal has been happily married for 15 years, and the Jindals have three children.  They are Catholics, although by conversion and not birth.  Jindal's parents remain Hindu, the faith into which Bobby was born.  Jindal can speak as a devout conservative Christian directly to the issues of racial and religious bigotry, as well as to immigration issues.
In his 2003 run for governor of Louisiana, Jindal encountered Democrat racism.  College Democrats of America President Bell called him "Bush's personal 'Do Boy' Bobby Jindal" and mistakenly called him an "Arab-American."  Kathleen Blanco's campaign ran odious ads showing a very dark-skinned and disheveled Jindal with the sinister warning "They hope we won't wake up until it's too late."  When any Democrat talks about racism, Jindal can respond that he has encountered it -- from Democrats.    
Bobby Jindal can also speak as few American politicians can about religious tolerance as well as racial tolerance.  He is a good son who loves his parents.  (His life story is much like that of conservative Republican Governor Nikki Haley, the Christian convert child of immigrants whose parents remain Sikh, who as a young child was disqualified from entering a beauty contest on racial grounds.)
The positives on Vice President Jindal are strong: proven executive whose actions in natural disasters showed how incompetent and venal Democrats are in those situation, conservative expert in public health, child of legal immigrants who faced the sting of racial prejudice, child genius who eschewed corporate riches for public service, and solid conservative on virtually every issue.  What else could we ask?  How about the spark of excitement that his selection would make?  The case for Vice President Jindal is very strong.

Is Scientology's Narconon Killing Patients?

With seven deaths since 2005, Scientology's Narconon flagship may finally face criminal charges.
The bigger scandal is that faith-based addiction programs are embraced as primary treatment. Where does that leave AA?

Narconon, the Scientology-affiliated rehab is under investigation by the state of Oklahoma, following three patient deaths within the last nine months. Last Wednesday, the inquiry into the July 19 death of 20-year-old Stacy Murphy was expanded to include the April death of 21-year-old Hillary Holten and the October death of 32-year-old Gabriel Graves. The state district attorney has asked the sheriff’s department to deepen its investigation.
The involvement of law-enforcement agencies—not simply regulatory authorities—suggests the possibility of criminal charges against those involved with the deaths. The facility, Narconon Arrowhead, is located near Canadian, Oklahoma. It is not only licensed by the state and listed on the federal addiction program locator, but also accredited by CARF, an organization that claims on its website to “focus on quality, results” in certifying treatment programs.
The 2009 death of 28-year-old Kaysie Dianne Wernick, who was transferred from Narconon Arrowhead to a nearby hospital while suffering a respiratory infection, resulted in an out-of-court settlement of a civil negligence lawsuit, the terms of which have not been disclosed. There have been three other deaths at that Narconon facility alone since 2005. Over the years, as The Fix has reported, numerous deaths and many lawsuits have been linked to the international Narconon program.
Oklahoma assistant district attorney Richard Hull told the Tulsa World that, “After looking at the [earlier] report and additional witness statements, the District Attorney’s Office has requested the Sheriff’s Office to further investigate,” and that full autopsy and toxicology reports have not yet been received. A spokesperson for Narconon Arrowhead told Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Weekly that program staff found the deaths “deeply saddening” and their loss “has taken an extreme emotional toll on us as well.”
Narconon representatives have also told the media that they are cooperating fully with the investigation.
As The Fix reported earlier, the Narconon program is based on Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard’s “Purification Rundown,” which was originally devised as part of the process required for conversion into Scientology. It involves taking high doses of vitamins and spending four to five hours a day in 150-degree saunas. This is believed to “detoxify” the body and remove drug “residue” that Hubbard claimed was responsible for craving.
There is no scientific evidence, however, that drug “residue” causes craving or that mega-doses of vitamins and marathon super-hot saunas are effective elements in addiction treatment. Indeed, for people who are medically fragile or who have recently taken certain classes of drugs including alcohol, amphetamines and cocaine, intense heat without breaks for relief could potentially lead to hyperthermia, which can be deadly. One study found that 25% of deaths in saunas were associated with alcohol or stimulant use.
Narconon also shares Scientology’s fierce opposition to psychiatry and the use of psychiatric medications, meaning that even if the rest of its methods were evidence-based, it would not be able to effectively treat half of all people with addictions who suffer from co-existing conditions like depression, nor would it utilize the state-of-the-art treatments that include medication. The belief that all psychiatric conditions can be treated via Hubbard’s techniques would not seem to support effective screening and referral for care for these disorders.
In fact, when Narconon was originally fishing for official and popular support to build Narconon Arrowhead rehab in the late 1980s, the  Oklahoma State Board of Mental Health flatly denied approval, pointing out that there was no credible evidence that the program (which also included indoctrination in the teachings of Hubbard) was effective for chemical dependency and that evidence-based effective addiction treatment suggests that, on the contrary, Narconon is very unlikely to work. Nonetheless, Narconon purchased tribal land, without disclosing its ties to Scientology (its typical MO), and got the rehab up and running. Eventually, despite a flurry of negative publicity, it was able to win state-board approval.
Although each Narconon is, at least on paper, independently owned and operated, the Church of Scientology holds the license. Many, if not most, of the staff at the several dozen Narconon rehabs worldwide are Scientologists, and according to many former patients, the implicit goal of the Narconon treatment program is to turn addicts, who may pay tens of thousands of dollars for their rehab stay, into Scientology converts.
All of which raises the question: how on earth has such a program managed to be licensed in numerous states, listed on federal registries of addiction treatment and even accredited by organizations that are supposed to ensure quality and high standards of care?
Narconon is, to some extent, a special case in the rehab industry. As a de-facto extension of Scientology, it can deploy all of that organization’s infamously sophisticated strategies against opponents, including extreme litigiousness and PR and, reportedly, even threats of violence against whistleblowers.
Yet in a larger sense, Narconon’s decades-long viability as a legitimate rehab comes down to the ongoing belief that faith-based treatments, while not permitted as primary care in the rest of the medical system, are acceptable for addictions. There is no other disease or disorder for which a Scientology-based treatment that has been thoroughly discredited by science could win such acceptance. There is no other medical condition for which faith-based programs from multiple religions that also “pray away the gay” are considered part of mainstream care. There is no other medical condition, in fact, for which prayer and meeting are seen as a main element of recovery.
While for mental illness, use of punitive measures like restraint, isolation, humiliation and corporal punishment have long been dismissed as barbaric, even late into the 20th century these were regular features of addiction treatment—and some programs still rely on them, particularly those aimed at teens. One reason that they have been so difficult to root out is that faith, not evidence, remains an acceptable basis for treatment models.
If we are to improve addiction treatment, faith-based care should be as unacceptable as the primary treatment as it is for cancer or heart disease. And that means that supporters of twelve-step programs will have to make some big changes. If addiction is a disease, meeting and prayer can be viewed no longer as treatment for it but merely as adjuncts to care—as they are for other medical conditions. If addiction is a disease, twelve-step material cannot be used in rehab itself— referrals to meetings can be made, information can be provided, and even onsite meetings made available, but counseling can’t consist of use of the steps. That’s just not how medicine or mainstream psychology is practiced.
As with other conditions, the spiritual aspects of the problem—for those who find them important or believe they exist at all—need to be kept separate from medical and psychological care. Otherwise, there will be no way to prevent religious ideas from being sold as treatment: if rehabs can sell programs based on the confession, surrender and faith aspect of AA, why shouldn’t they be able to sell Scientology?
And if they can sell Scientology, why not any belief about treatment anyone wants to promote? There’s no way to set standards of care when your treatment relies on a higher power: if God, why not Xenu?
Some will argue that twelve-step facilitation—a manualized treatment that involves introduction to the steps and encouragement of participation in the program—has been shown in some studies to be as effective as more standard “evidence-based” programs like motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. They will point to research showing that those who do affiliate with AA or NA do better in the long term than those who do not.
But that doesn’t make AA a type of medicine any more than depression recovery through social support is a type of medical care. The mind and body are not separate, and belief certainly can play a role in healing. That doesn’t mean the main medicine for any disorder should be faith. If we continue to allow this, we shouldn’t be surprised when people die in addiction treatment. Medicine itself only advanced and stopped killing more people than it helped when it began to rely on data rather than faith: we need to hold addiction care to this standard, too.

And that's exactly what Ron Hubbard did when he created the Church of Scientology.
Scientology is a false religion, founded in 1953, which leads people into Hell.  According to a quote from www.scientology.org >Frequently Asked Questions >What is Scientology About? ...
...Scientology further holds man to be basically good, and that his spiritual salvation depends upon himself and his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe.
In sharp contrast, the Word of God states that mankind is inherently sinful (Romans 3:23; 5:12), and cannot save himself (Ephesians 2:8-9).  We read in Romans 3:12, "They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."  Man is not sinful because he sins; man sins because he is sinful by nature.  When Adam sinned, he opened the gate for sin and death to enter the human race.  Mankind is basically evil and is totally incapable of saving himself through any self-righteous efforts (Titus 3:5).

New Agers such as Oprah believe that mankind can be elevated to divine status through self-improvement, enlightenment, and spiritualism.

Denying Christ – The True Antichrist

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.  23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
Those that deny Jesus is the Christ are the true antichrist in this world today.  These Scriptures have a much deeper meaning than how they are typically understood, especially by the carnal mind.  What this really means to deny Jesus is the Christ is to deny that He is Savior of the entire world, all men whoever lived.  Most professing Christians are antichrists because their doctrine states that Jesus only saves a select few and sends the rest to a never ending eternal hell.  
(THIS IS ALSO THE MAIN TEACHING OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES, WHOSE ZEAL OFTEN ATTRACTS THE SKEPTICAL SOON-TO-BE CHRISTIAN, OR THE DISENCHANTED CHRISTIAN WHO IS SEDUCED FROM LEAVING THE FLOCK AND FOLD TO ABANDON TRUE FAITH TO THIS RELIGION, ONE THAT ONLY STATES 144,000 ARE GOING TO HEAVEN, AND THE WORD IS NOT GOD, (JOHN 1:1), but a god, an apostate translation that doesn’t even translate the article correctly from the Greek LOGOS, into English, which they cite as literal, so it would be “a words”, which makes no sense whatsoever. That translation changes the entire meaning of the Bible, negating Christ’s sacrifice as any other pluralistic gods, not the perfect sacrifice that satisfies God.

Any New World Order belief, system of politics, or religious teaching essentially gets you to deny Christ in some way, but most mainly through a seduction so subtle that only the trained eye and studied Christian would know the difference, because the teaching is totally contrary to Christian faith. To deny that Jesus (the Word) is God, is to deny that Jesus was in total unity with the Father, that he was a mere man only, whose sacrifice would be imperfect to satisfy the Law’s requirements for one’s sins.

As you can see, the devil’s mission is to get you to deny Christ and His sacrifice, because then he has your soul. Those who don’t believe in Christ, he already has theirs, so in the spiritual realm, he has to spend his time the most on the skeptic, the atheist, the spiritual traveler, and the faithless Christian he must work the hardest to convince that the Christian faith is lacking, because if these people were really Christian, they wouldn’t act like they do because they are serving another master!

As you can see, Voodoo, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Scientologists have all made quite a resurgence since the revival and secret practice of satanic rituals, prevalent during the late 80’s. I am beginning to wonder on my reflection of the teaching of the Abomination of Desolation that government is god of the New World Order, so the Antichrist is really a collective spiritual abandonment of those basic precepts of Christianity, and the government is facilitating that abandonment, by causing the oblation to cease. Our ability to worship God, and what that requires of us is being exhausted: mainly our wealth, and the ability to do God’s works is being sucked up by the government in the form of socialism, supposition of equal rights and economic equality doctrines, not giving according to each his need. So what we have is an unequal wealth redistribution that is making everyone poor, and the poor still not getting their needs met, because it is misappropriation and remuneration, not government functioning on its own, and Christianity for what it is.

Jesus also said that sectarianism is a sin, something that I can’t wrap my brain around when people say that the main teaching of Islam is unity, and unlike the time of Muhammad, they are far from even his assertion on the early Christian churches and the unity they used to possess in worship. Various faiths claim that if you do not engage in particular forms of worship, that you are not a Christian. You are merely a visitor of their particular establishment. I was told once by a Baptist that without being dunked in water, I could have no part of a Baptist fellowship, nor could I date their son.

I was told by Baptists also that Catholics are condemned to hell, because they pray to Mary.  

(I guess they’ve never actually read the Catholic liturgy or understand veneration of saints, or that they’ve elevated their religion and practices into a god of sorts: in order to pass judgement and to condemn a person’s salvation simply for being Catholic, making themselves out to be God, which is the top thread of blasphemy!)

They also said that Catholics are going to hell because their life does not exhibit that of a Christian, (and I thought to myself: well, neither do most Baptists, but they get an “A” for effort, and then I realized that Catholics seemed to be more humble, so this seemed wrong in general--it wasn’t about how much wealth Catholics had or THEIR church, it was the Church in the collective sense that mattered to them, and what God privately thought about them, not anyone else).

Baptists also condemn Catholics, and openly teach that there is no Purgatory, no ability to accept Christ after being dead, but neglect the teaching of what happens at the final Judgment and Christ’s Second Coming: Baptists claim not accepting Christ before death means an instant ticket to hell upon death, and cite other scriptures to back up their position, man is appointed to die only once, but if he dies twice it is a spiritual death. This is done to make the Baptist faith appear to be the authority and true path, with special credit being given to them for ‘leading people to Christ’, and gives them a fire insurance policy on church membership rolls and fireproofing them from leaving the fellowship as its own sect, setting itself apart from other churches by elevation of doctrine.

So, I quit my visitation of the Baptist Church. My grandmother’s Baptist Church wasn’t like that, so you can see the divergence just within the Baptist Faith in teaching and in practice.

I then visited a Catholic Church, who told me the same thing like the Baptists: that I couldn’t partake of communion, if I was not a registered member, which required extensive learning in certain prayers, hymns, and general protocol for worship. At that time, I remember thinking: all this fuss over a shot of wine and wafer....
these people are nuts!

I went to a Methodist Church, who staunchly believed that the Baptists were going to hell for the way they lived (which is true, it appears to be an open denial of Christ), and who said Catholics are going to hell because they elevated their way of worship above the ways of God.
(I was like yeah: a group that tells the truth about how it really is.)
Yet some of the sexism and false teaching about women from the pulpit really turned me off as a teenager, so I left the Methodist Church.

When I got to college, every avenue challenged God, what I thought about God, or what I thought about particular religions or how I was raised, or not raised (in a church).

The only thing I could cling to during that time was much more personal to me, and too long for me to comment on here.

That is as antichrist as one can get and is the exact opposite of the nature and character of our great and loving God.  He has truly been maligned by carnal man and the whole world is now shut up in darkness and the church has long ago fallen away from the true faith.  True faith is knowing that Jesus is the Messiah and the Christ.  This means He has saved the whole world already, it is already settled in heaven.  If you do not believe this, you are a not a believer and in fact are an antichrist.  Those who have ears to hear know this to be true.
Very few are in the true faith and are standing with the real Jesus.  The whole world is full on antichrist’s.  Such are professing Christians who take the name of Christ but are really unbelievers.  They know not the gospel or the true living God.  They actually oppose the work of God and sit proudly exalted on God’s throne in their heart.  As John told us, there were many antichrist’s already in the world 2,000 years ago.
1 John 4:3  And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world
It has only gotten much worse now.  There are multitudes more people and antichrist’s in the world today than were in John’s time.  Jesus asking the question that when He returns at the end of the age would He find faith in this earth become prophetic words when you see this truth about the antiChrists.   The church fell away as soon as this doctrine of eternal torment in hell entered in the time of Augustine in the 5th century.  This points to a totally false jesus and immediately creates so much confusion and contradiction in the Scriptures.  There is total unity among the true believers,  and it is that Jesus has saved all men, doing exactly what the Father sent Him to do.  This will line up all Scripture to consistently portray our God who He really is.  His love never fails and His mercies endure forever.  He is really really good.

Psalm 145:9  The Lord is good to ALL, And His tender mercies are over ALL His works

Those who deny Jesus as the Son of God who takes away the sin of the world also deny the Father who sent Jesus.  The most religious people on earth today are the worst deniers of the true faith.  There is so much self-righteous and eternal torment garbage that we all have been born and raised up into,  that true faith is indeed rare to find.  I guess Jesus knew this when He asked the rhetorical question.
Luke 18:7-8  And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?  8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless,when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
The only ones having faith when Jesus returns will be His elect.  

As you can see, it is not limited to a specific denomination, as there are good and bad Baptists, those whose way of worship has become a god and their way, rather than Jesus Himself as THE ONLY WAY. Read the Book of Revelation and you will see that the Antichrist operates in the Church in the last days, and so you see it, from what I testified to you of....

Catholics are the same as the Baptists, those who elevate their ritual above relationship. Then there is false doctrine in the Methodist Church ‘women are not to be leaders of men’ taken out of context of the scripture, when women were leaders, prophetesses, teachers, and the European Church was founded upon Lydia’s house:

So when you start separating the wheat from the tares, you’re left with interdenominational worship: which doesn’t cloud the focus (with needless doctrines and vain repetitions), or Pentecostal churches, (but even they like to think that they are better and more disciplined, for their Conservative ways and lifestyle).
Which is very appealing, if you want accountability or need it, but a true Christian at some point wants to take their gift with them, outside the church, and share it with others to bring more to the church.
Where most interdenominational churches fail is they become a social club, they get lukewarm, or they are prone to taking prophecy from church eldership rather than getting it directly from God.

Same thing with the Catholic Church in that respect: you are not supposed to challenge the Church authority and that of the priests, even if he is a child raping pedophile! Seriously, have we fallen that far away where our oblation goes to government and children can not come to Jesus without being molested?!

The failure to hold accountable sexual sin involving child molestation to punitive measure of law is not questioning the authority of the Church, it is retaining the Church from being corrupted into a cult of parading pedophiles!

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Holy Bible, ALL the books therein, and I find without those books that aren’t in the KJV, we are left without God’s advice about how to deal with life’s problems, but I won’t for a second sit back and not call out what I see, because to do so would fail to snatch those from the flames!

The biggest feature of the Abomination of Desolation is the departure from daily teaching of the scripture in the churches themselves: which to be honest,
is an empty building with all of the worldly pompous architecture and decoration, subsidized Christian Civic centers whose swords that might as well be rusting from failing to sharpen themselves upon Jesus, who is the Chief Cornerstone.

True religion is now only taught in jails and prisons in small groups. When that happens, walls and bars disappear, race isn’t an issue, and problems and woes are diminished. Which is great, because then a jail or prison is a place of refuge and not punishment. A place of correction and not punitive suffering.

Even that said, most jail ministries are compelled and commanded to use only the King James Version.....

so we owe it to a homosexual/bisexual man, thousands of people being able to read the Bible in English. I’m sure, it must cover a multitude of the sins of King James himself, for this act, and knowing how sinful he was, he took extraordinary pains to translate into English the efficacy only read in the original Hebrew text:

James IV and I is arguably the most well-known king in British history (regarding his name, he was the fourth King James of Scotland and the first of England). Anyone who has read a Christian Bible is at least vaguely familiar with him, since most are subtitled "King James Version." In 1611, he commissioned the translation of the Bible from Latin to English. This act has brought Christianity to countless people over the past 400 years. It is well-known that one of the many taboos mentioned in the Good Book is homosexuality. Despite the fact that the reasons why the “gay lifestyle” was frowned upon are long outdated, many devout Christians still believe that those who are anything but straight are sinning horribly. One must wonder how they would react if they knew that King James was in fact homo- or bisexual.
Was he really? It is difficult to make such a claim, since many accounts of James' gay relationships written during his reign were attempts to bring him down. James was the first Scottish king to take England's throne, and he had to deal with a great deal of racism. With that said, many things written about him from his time period should be taken with a grain of salt. However, this does not mean that what was written are all lies. Since homosexuality was such a damnable sin back then, James' contemporaries could have used this aspect of him to discredit the "foreign" king (the fact that James' gay relationships were all extramarital did not help, either). James had several "male favorites," but three were the most profound: Esme Stuart, Robert Carr, and George Villiers.
Esme Stuart d'Aubigny
James was only one year old when he was crowned king of Scotland in 1567. At the age of thirteen, the young king was approached by his second cousin, Esme Stuart d'Aubigny, for the first time. In spite of being twenty-four years Esme's junior, James found himself strongly attracted to the Frenchman. That they were cousins did not seem to matter. James showered Esme with gifts and political power, making him a member of the Privy Council, Gentleman of the Bedchamber, and governor of Dumbarton Castle. Esme Stuart soon became James' biggest political influence.
In 1589, James married Anne of Denmark and in the years that followed, they had a daughter and two sons. Many historians saw the arrangement as a marriage of convenience, since the couple was never really seen as a loving one. It appeared that James went to Esme for his more intimate needs. As historian Carolyn Bingham noted, "He expected [Esme] to supply everything that [James} had always lacked and everything that he was now beginning to need: to be his family, his beloved, his friend, his mentor and counselor, and his constant companion."
It is worth noting that Esme had a family as well: a devout Catholic wife and several children back in France. His wife made several attempts to relocate to Scotland to be with her husband, but they were all denied by the king. Furthermore, no records have ever been found of Esme even wanting his wife around complicating matters.
If any type of wall separated these two men, it was religion. Esme was Roman Catholic while James was Protestant. This would soon change however, when Esme converted to Protestism, to the surprise of his family and countrymen in France. It appeared that Esme turned his back on them. James did not care however and saw this act as a statement of their love. He soon named Esme Duke of Lennox, making him the only duke in Scotland.
As one can imagine, Esme's presence in Scotland caused a great deal of resentment and hostility due to the various gifts and titles he received from James. Queen Elizabeth of England was weary of Esme since day one, and sent several men to spy on him and his growing affection towards the king.
The lords who opposed Esme came together in 1582 and waited for their chance to strike. The opportunity presented itself in August of that year, when the men kidnapped King James as he was returning from a hunting trip. The conspirators justified holding the young king by bringing together a lengthy list of charges against Esme, even blaming him for James' wrongdoings. This way, they made Esme out to be a corrupter, and that capturing James was an effort to free him. They even moved James to other towns on a regular basis so that he would not appear to be imprisoned.
Despite the conspirator's best efforts, James would not relinquish his love for Esme. As one of the opposing lords wrote, "Albeit the [King] is pleased to yield his person to the lords present, yet he [keeps] his affection still fastened on the duke." However, the lords insisted that James send Esme out of Scotland. Captured and overpowered, the young king complied. The two lovers never saw each other again.
This was a very tragic situation. As James lived in hope of being rescued by Esme, Esme hoped of one day being recalled to Scotland. They exchanged letters in a secret manner, but Esme could not bring together enough troops or devise a plan to free the young king. Even if he could, he feared for his own life. The two lovers wrote to each other until Esme's death in 1583. The truly sad part was that James received Esme's more passionate letters after he died, and James did not know until much later.
Robert Carr

In March 1603, Queen Elizabeth died, and James was crowned king of England. Within four years, James' marriage to Queen Anne had stagnated. The king met Robert Carr around this time. Carr was a young Scot who followed the king to England. During a festival, Carr fell off his horse and broke his leg. James recognized the former page-boy and astonished onlookers by running onto the field and cradling Carr in his arms. The king saw to it that Carr received the best medical care, and was always at his side. Many writers noted Carr to be tall, athletic, slightly effeminate, and not very bright. Historian William McElwee wrote that James began to "treat Carr in public with the same exaggerated, gross affection as in private." James' contemporaries thought he was odd when he was a teenager worshiping Esme, but as a middle-aged man kissing on Carr with his arms around him, his behavior disturbed many.
According to the letters that James wrote to Carr, the king felt sexually trapped in his unsatisfying marriage and longed for a more satisfactory relationship. James also spoiled Carr with gifts and political power as he did with Esme. The king's eldest son, Prince Henry, strongly disliked Car and was probably jealous of his relationship with James. Anne was not fond of him either, for obvious reasons.
With the untimely deaths of Prince Henry and James' secretary of state in 1612, a year after James commissioned the translation of the Bible, Carr's political power skyrocketed. He became a Confidential Secretary to James, and eventually the Earl of Somerset. However, Carr fell in love with Frances Howard, Countess of Essex, and on the day after Christmas in 1613, the couple married. James supported the marriage and even paid for the wedding. He was alright with it as long as Carr remembered his obligations to the king.
Carr's sexual relations extended well beyond his wife and king. The most notable of these was writer Thomas Overbury. Their relationship was not the smoothest, but in time Overbury knew more state secrets than the Privy Council. James obviously was not having this. Whether it was due to jealousy or the fact that Overbury knew so much, James sent him to the Tower of London.
During Overbury's six-month stay at the Tower, from which he would not leave alive, he frequently wrote to Carr, urging his lover to help him gain release. Overbury's letters rang of frustration and desperation. He even threatened to out their relationship if Carr did not comply. However, Overbury would die of poisoning in September 1613. When evidence pointed to Carr and his wife having a part in the writer's murder, the couple was placed under house arrest. During this time, Carr desperately searched for letters to and from Overbury and other documents that might have proven embarrassing or incriminating.
In November 1615, the couple was formally charged in the murder of Thomas Overbury, and six months later the trial was under way. King James, who was extremely shocked by the whole thing, begged Carr to admit his guilt, to no avail. To this day, all that is known of Carr's part in the murder was that he was an accessory. His wife Frances admitted her guilt, however.
Nerves were high during the trial, as neither Carr nor James wanted their homosexual affairs to be revealed. Unfortunately for Carr, his letters were read during the trial and it was made known that not only did Carr and Overbury have an affair, but Carr shared state secrets with him. These letters provided enough evidence to condemn Carr and his wife. Both were found guilty and sentenced to death in May 1616.
The Carrs spent six years in the Tower. Although the couple did not die there, Carr's affair with the king did. The letters they exchanged vividly expressed their strained feelings of frustration at each other. Carr and his wife gained release from prison in 1622, and moved out to the countryside where they would spend the rest of their lives. Two years later, James granted Carr a pardon. Despite their breakup, perhaps James still had some feelings for the former page-boy.
George Villiers

King James' final male favorite was George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham. Actually, James' affair with this man ran parallel to the one he had with Carr for some time, as they first met in 1614. It seemed that James turned to Buckingham for support when others let him down. With Queen Anne disaffected from him, Carr on trial for murder, Princess Elizabeth married and living in Germany, and an air of uncertainty surrounding James' relationship with teenage Prince Charles, Buckingham was the only one James thought he could turn to.
Many of the letters these two exchanged over a ten-year period have survived to the present day. In these letters, James often addressed Buckingham as "Only sweet and dear child," "Sweetheart," and "Sweet child and wife," and signed himself "Thy dear dad and husband." It is quite clear that their relationship paralleled some modern gay romances in which one partner is significantly older than the other.
Their love intensified when Queen Anne died in 1619. James fell ill soon after and he knew he would not recover. Buckingham seldom left his king's bedside, but he was away when King James died in 1625. Buckingham would be assassinated three years later.
Revelations

As one can imagine, many have tried to cover up the truth about King James VI & I. Since he is such an important historic figure, they thought his being gay would have marred the image of the British monarchy. Although James' gay relationships were extramarital, political leaders having affairs was nothing new, not even back then. Besides, he would have certainly divorced Queen Anne if they had lived in the present day.
One question remains, however. Is it the penultimate irony that a gay man has indirectly brought Christianity to the same bigots (of whom consist of only part of Christian thought today) who have oppressed homosexuals throughout the past 400 years and continue to do so? In 1617, James gave a daring address to the Privy Council, affirming his right to love men once and for all:
"I, James, am neither a god nor an angel, but a man, like any other. Therefore I act like a man and confess to loving those dear to me more than other men. You may be sure that I love the Earl of Buckingham more than anyone else, and more than you who are here assembled. I wish to speak in my own behalf and not to have it thought to be a defect, for Jesus Christ did the same, and therefore I cannot be blamed. Christ had John, and I have George."
If one were to translate this address into modern English, it would roughly sound like, "This is who I am, this is who I love. Get over it."

This is why the Muslim faiths have a hard time swallowing Christianity and declare it an heresy, because of this translation, without the other books or consideration of the Dead Sea Scrolls for example, would lend to the fact that King James was a flaming homosexual and that this translation seems cultish to them, and an oddity that homosexuals are excluded from various churches, when this is the text that they use! That is why they say we don’t know what we’re worshiping.

So yes, there is a reason the Holy Bible stands to me as the authority of teaching, because the NIV version was also re-worded/re-translated by a homosexual on their advisory of translators.

Now you see how the doctrine of homosexuality has subverted an entire religion by authorship, because homosexuality is a vow to another god. The books excluded detailed these very sins of the kings!

It is one thing to question your sexuality and what that means to you, but it is quite another to take a vow or profess it as a religion.
Jesus teaches us quite plainly about it:

12 For there are different reasons why men cannot marry: some, because they were born that way; others, because men made them that way; and others do not marry for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. Let him who can accept this teaching do so.


The true calling of the homosexual community is missed, because the Church fails to teach scripture properly:

Some are set apart/born to solely worship God: not to worship the flesh and be gay, so yes they were born different for a reason and not the reason the world teaches. Some were abused, or some were forcibly sterilized as to be celibate, or forced into not wanting to consummate a marriage because of their own reservations and experiences with men/women. Others choose celibacy, because their primary focus is not sex, having a family, or having a human relationship, but because they feel personally their relationship to God requires celibacy, for whatever reason: lust, inability to maintain healthy family relationships, or a relationship interfering with their relationship to God.

Jesus says that not everyone can accept the sexual behavior behavior of others, or to agree with what they choose, and those who can accept that personal choices vary, should accept that it is not our choice to make:

like the inclination not to marry in the traditional sense, (as there was and is no such thing as ‘gay’ marriage), but that we are to accept that it is a personal choice, and not to worry about those who can’t accept that it is.

Meaning, there is a lot of useless political arguing and religious animosity over something that involves free will: things which each individual is personally accountable to God for, and we must each choose to accept or reject Him, and if we will dedicate our marriage to God or if we will take a vow to another god, to serve the flesh and elevate that above God’s design of marriage, or to fail to teach this passage to appease people politically, or to get their money into the church or for state wanting money so as to be licensing homosexuality for profit, not equality or anti-discrimination.

AGAIN.... MAN’S DESIGN OF MARRIAGE, OR GOD’S DESIGN?

MAN’S DESIGN OF MARRIAGE
1) Common Law -- living together exclusively, without making a vow to God or to pay taxes to the state as a married couple, where the woman is usually considered the dependent, promotes women being regarded as property or sex slaves and is an arrangement of convenience
2) Open Marriage -- don’t ask me how this could even be a marriage, because the two people have other lovers, with or without their partner’s knowledge, which spreads disease, creates broken families, and is a vow to another god
3) Gay Marriage/Civil Union -- 2 of the same sex, with or without children, who take a vow to worship the flesh on an altar of sin, who think that even though they can’t naturally reproduce or by the process of marrying/consummation of 2 creating one, that this is still a marriage when it is not, it is a vow to another god and state-sanctioned idolatry
4) Plural Marriage or Polygamy -- man’s answer to lust an insatiable sexuality, kingdism, where women are deluded into thinking that material security suffices to be called marriage, but plural marriage is a way to avoid paying taxes, avoid the diseases from prostitution, and relegates women to property and chattel status
5) Bestiality -- engaging in sexual acts with animals

AS YOU CAN SEE HERE, MARRIAGE INVOLVES SOME FORM OF SEX, BUT THE ONLY FORM OF SEX REINFORCED BY GOD’S DESIGN IS MARRIAGE....

Marriage is between a man and woman, who pledge their love, finances, and bed to each other in honesty that it belongs to them exclusively. It is more than just propagation by combining two to make one, it is about two people making a declaration to function as one entity on behalf of God, their marriage being approved by Him, regardless of issuance of a state license or certificate by a Church, (but they can advise you and help you in these matters).

With as much as Obama has focused on homosexuality next to health care, you would think he’d have changed the flag to the rainbow flag! For this reason, Obama as a practicing homosexual as a Senator, easily meandered his way around religion and he kept this secret in the closet, along with a stack of about 10 gay dead lovers.

Because of the KJV translation, and its failure to use books which place further determinants on character and habits, Obama was able to parade himself as a Christian just like his cousin Raila Odigna did for votes in Africa, though Obama is not a Christian. Michelle is, and a very stupid one at that!  

Obama was raised in tribal Voodoo, then shipped off to a Muslim Madrassa Elementary School.

I ask you: why else would Obama’s Mom left his biological father?
Because of his Dad’s tribal Voodoo and because she could get Obama citizenship in Indonesia and effectively cut him off from Africa. This explains the hatred in Obama’s book about white people and black people, and being disconnected to having a real father who wasn’t an initiate to a Voodoo cult, Obama got his jollies off giving it white males, because it made him feel powerful.

Ovomit has not made a single trip to Israel since he stole the office of the Presidency. Of all the attacks against Christians and Jews, and there have been many, the liar has never said a word. Now all of the sudden he condemns these attacks and calls Israel our allies? He hates Israel because he is a Muslim. Iran was found guilty within 30 minutes. Plus the pictures we saw of a burned up bus (if there was even an attack other than someone burned up a bus for the photo) would certainly indicate that nothing would be left of the "Suicide Bomber". However they claim that they got his fingerprints and his I.D. which was said to be fake. So he had bomb proof / fire proof I.D. And they were able to lift the finger prints from the charred bits and pieces of the burned, blown up body. Or maybe he just happened to be wearing bomb proof / fire proof gloves. They have moved how many Aircraft Carriers to the Gulf? Lindsey Williams told us early this year that they (the elite) were going to start war with Iran but to beware that they wanted Iran to "Fire the first shot". Or do they just want us to believe what ever happens was done by Iran? A new 9/11? A staged pearl harbor? It says it here and all over the Bible and in fact the Bible is written for the Elect of God.  Carnal mind cannot understand the things of God when they are bound by unbelief, as the multitudes clearly are today.  Yet being bound in unbelief is an act of God,  the master Potter as men only come to HIM and are given faith at the election of the Most High.  Man does not choose as has been shown.  God’s elect are the salt of this earth will be accused of being evil and of the devil.  The Scriptures declare this as all that live godly in Christ will be persecuted.   But like Jesus we do not defend ourselves or our honor or pride.  We will just speak this gospel with boldness knowing that our God will avenge us in the appointed day.  We know that our accusers do not know what they are doing.  God Himself has made them blind.

The Great Ziggurat of Ur

The name of the Ur Ziggurat, E-temen-niguru, literally means "House whose foundation creates terror," a name that might explain Suddam Hussein's past infatuation and obsessive restoration of the site.
The ziggurat is perhaps the most famous of all ziggurats in Mesopotamia. Historians believe that Ur-Nammu built the temple in the 21st century BC, the Ur III Dynasty period. In that time the structure stretched 210 ft in length, 150 ft in width, and 100 ft in height. King Shulgi finished the temple, dedicated to Nanna the mood god in the 21st century BC. During Shulgi's reign, the city ruled over a larger part of the greater Mesopotamian region.

Iraq sees wave of attacks on security forces

BAGHDAD (Aug 4, 2012): A wave of brazen attacks killed dozens of Iraqi soldiers, police and anti-Qaeda militiamen in recent days, but security forces say it pales in comparison with the worst years of violence in the country.
At least 49 security forces personnel have been killed and 39 wounded in at least 18 separate shootings and bombings since July 31, and some security forces positions in Baghdad remain strikingly exposed to attack.
Most of the violence targeted police or army patrols and checkpoints, though some attacks were against more heavily guarded facilities.
Gunmen attempted to use bombs to breach a prison gate in Taji, north of Baghdad, on August 1, and employed similar tactics on the anti-terrorism directorate in the capital the day before, which the interior ministry said was an attempt to free inmates.
While security forces were killed, the attackers apparently failed to free any of the detainees.
Though there has been a heavy toll from the attacks, members of the security forces in Baghdad said they have been through worse.
Death tolls for some months in 2006, 2007 and 2008 reached more than 1,000 people killed, according to official figures, which by comparison put the July 2012 toll at 325.
"There is not any fear, because we lived through the hardest days in 2004 and 2005 and 2006, which was when we had the most violence, and attacks were 80 percent more than what is happening now," said a 28-year-old who has been in the federal police for seven years.
"The security situation now is much better than in past years, when we were never able to go out wearing military uniforms," said the policeman, who spoke on condition of anonymity and was dressed in shorts but no shirt despite being at a guard post in central Baghdad.
"The security situation now is much better compared to 2007 or before," a 33-year-old federal policeman at a nearby store said, also asking that he not be identified by name.
"The terrorists are trying to cause gaps in the security forces," said the policeman, who joined the force eight years ago, adding that "we do not have any fear or concern, and we are stronger than them."
And Iraqi army Sergeant Ahmed Hussein, a 30-year-old who said he joined the military eight years ago, insisted that "terrorism never shakes me, and the recent attacks do not plant any fear or confusion among the security members."
"The aim of striking the security forces is targeting the country," Hussein said.
Despite the increased attacks against security forces, some of their positions in Baghdad remain woefully exposed.
One federal police checkpoint on a road to the anti-terrorism directorate, which was attacked just days before, consisted of a line of junk spanning the street -- a pile of tyres, a plastic chair weighted with a stone, a small metal table, and a coil of barbed wire strung with plastic bags and other trash.
The position, which offered almost no cover, was manned by just two policemen, only one of whom had a rifle.
At a guard post a few blocks away, the shirtless policeman and at least one colleague were escaping the blistering heat inside an air-conditioned shelter made of a makeshift roof covering the area between two concrete blast walls.
A blanket covered the entrance, keeping cool air in, but blocking the view out. Two rifles leaned against a wall inside, but other key equipment including a helmet, boots and body armour were outside the entrance.
Only a dirty, fluttering Iraqi flag in a metal stand kept watch over the street.
The attacks on security forces come after Al-Qaeda's front group the Islamic State of Iraq said in July that it was launching a "new military campaign aimed at recovering territory."
An earlier message posted on various jihadist forums said the ISI would begin targeting judges and prosecutors, and try to help its prisoners break out of jails.
When asked about the attacks on security forces, John Drake, a security analyst with AKE Group, said by email that "they may be focusing their efforts on the security forces to make them seem weak in the eyes of the people."
"When civilians think that the police can't protect them, they turn to other groups for support, such as Shiite militia and even Al-Qaeda in some predominantly Sunni areas," Drake said.
The attacks are ultimately "likely aiming at polarising communities, which puts pressure on the security forces and may eventually lead to a rise in support for their (militants') cause," he said. –AFP

Iran Test-Fires 4th Generation of Most Precise Home-Made Missile
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi announced on Saturday that the country has successfully test-fired the fourth generation of high-precision Fateh-110 missiles.





"The fourth generation of high-precision Fateh-110 missiles with a range of over 300km was test-fired by the defense ministry's aerospace industries organization," Vahidi told reporters in Tehran today.
He said that the new missiles can hit and destroy both land and sea targets, enemy concentration points, command centers, missile sites, ammunition dumps, radars and other targets with 100 percent precision.

Iran successfully test-fired the third generation of Fateh-110 missiles in August 2010.

The Fateh-110 is a short-range, road-mobile, solid-propellant, high-precision ballistic missile with advanced navigation and control systems.

The Iranian defense ministry has made great achievements in designing and producing missiles, including the surface-to-surface solid-fuel Sejjil missiles, the long-range Shahab-3 ballistic missile which has a range of up to 2,000 km, and Zelzal and Fateh missiles.

Iran has been pushing an arms development program in recent years in a bid to reach self-sufficiency. Tehran launched its arms development program during the 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war on Iran to compensate for a US weapons embargo. Since 1992, Iran has produced its own jet fighters and armored vehicles as well as radar-avoiding missiles and other high-tech weapons.

Yet, Iranian officials have always stressed that the country's military and arms programs serve defensive purposes and should not be perceived as a threat to any other country

I love all men and know that all men shall be saved in the end, in the ages to come.  But I do not want to share in their evil deeds and continue to deny the CHRIST and the FAITH.  Right now, only very few have entered in by the narrow way.  Few are of God right now, but that will change in the end.
We are given instructions on how to test teachers and the spirits behind the teacher.  I have already shown previously what Peter was saying in 2 Peter 2, which simply is this:  All false teachers will  deny the power of God and that all men have already been purchased (the wages of sin being paid for, that being ultimate death).  Such men will also speak evil of the true way,  the way being taught now on this website and some others.  Here is what the Apostle John had to say about testing the spirits.  Most think this is just a verbal exercise of a man speaking literal words, but it is much more than that.
TESTING THE SPIRITS
This mystery is Christ in us, the hope of glory. The whole plan of our Father is to make us into sons and daughters of the kingdom.  We will be just like HIM and in the image and likeness of Christ.  The potter chooses when this happens,  but all the clay must first come thru the furnace of fire to be made into this new image.
1 JOHN 4:2-3 – Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
Jesus is in the flesh of those HE has already chosen.  It is this appearing of Christ in us,  the hope of glory that enables us to say,  Jesus has come in the flesh.  OUR FLESH,  He lives inside of us.  His coming is not future.  HE HAS COME and in that we rejoice.  But this true gospel will be preached to the ends of this world and then the end of this age shall come and ultimately all knees and tongues shall be bowing and giving praise to this great KING.  Jesus has not yet come in the flesh of most,  only a few in each generation.  That is why these still in the world cannot hear the word we speak.  That is also why they  will continue to work AGAINST GOD.  They are still an antichrist and they are in very good company.  But He will come to ALL count on it.  Every eye shall see Him as He is.  But first things must be made desolate and the temple cleared of the man of sin that exalts himself and blaspheme’s the living God every time he speaks.  This shall come with fire
The key point in understanding this method of testing the spirits is to know that one must acknowledge that Jesus Christ has appeared to them in their flesh.  This will also include the acknowledgement that Jesus is the Savior of ALL MEN.  He  has come in the flesh and died and He is coming again in the appointed time to each and every one of us.  If one believes something else and especially of an eternal hell where most of humanity suffers endlessly, the spirit speaking through them DOES NOT CONFESS that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh and they as yet DO NOT KNOW THE LIVING GOD.  This person is not yet of God, they are yet carnal  and cannot hear the word of God.  They remain captive and bound by unbelief and it is all God’s choosing.  I have seen many carnal arguments from some who used to post here trying to explain this but it is utter foolishness of a carnal mind.
An antichrist we are told sets up shop in the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God.  This spirit will blaspheme God at every turn, deny His power and paint Him as a cruel monstrous God who shows no mercy and does not love all that He created.  This spirit is the heart of the majority of the church and virtually all that are teaching online on YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK or blogs.  
It will blow your mind when you see it.  The popular renderings of 2 Thess 2, Daniel and Matthew 24 need a new look when the blinders are removed by God’s choosing.
This antichrist will never submit to the righteousness that is found ONLY in a belief that Jesus is the Savior of ALL.  This spirit, likened to a beast, must be put to death and kicked out of the temple of God which is in the hearts of all of God’s people.  Only the power of God working thru the gift of FAITH will accomplish this task.  It will happen for all in the appointed time but in the meantime the way of God will be blasphemed.  Such sins will ultimately be forgiven for all God’s people.  When writing to the church of true believers, John reminds us that we have nothing to fear and to remember that those antichrists do not know what they are doing.  They truly cannot hear the WORD of GOD because they are not yet of God.  Their time has not yet come.
1 John 4:4-6 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us.
By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
Many here do not hear the words spoken on this website.  This Scripture tells us why.  Those that speak in error will be heard by the many that are of the world.  We must never judge things by their popularity.  Those that speak by the spirit of truth will only be heard by the Elect of God that God has ordained to hear the truth.  God really is in control my friends.  May those who have ears hear these truths.


Oprah's close friend and show guest, Shirley MacLaine, described on a show how to meditate, by going inside yourself, asking your own "intuitive Self" to seek answers to life's questions.  Oprah responds, "You know, that is the same as the Bible says, 'Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find'."  Shirley confirms.  Do you see how subtle Satan's false prophets are ... even twisting the Word of God around in an attempt to deceive people?  New Age is damnable heresy folks, and it's the exact same garbage that Scientology teaches.
In the Scientology quote above, we read ... "Man is an immortal, spiritual being ... He is able to not only solve his own problems, accomplish his goals and gain lasting happiness, but also achieve new, higher states of awareness and ability."  There's not a dime's difference between the ultimate goal of New Age and Scientology--man can become his own god!
Satan is the god of this world (2nd Corinthians 4:4), and he controls the false religions of this world.  The Illuminati pyramid is the symbol of an organization's allegiance to Satan.  The agenda behind all of this is to brainwash the masses into accepting and following the Antichrist when he comes.  The world's masses are being conditioned for Satan.  2nd Thessalonians 2:10 tells us why so many people will be deceived ... Rank-and-file members, however, are dealt a less glamorous Scientology.
The musician and congressman, Sonny Bono, was also a longtime Scientologist.  Elvis Presley's widow and daughter, Priscilla and Lisa Marie, are also Scientologists.  The cult appeals to the rich and famous because God is undefined, and man can become his own god if he so chooses.  In sharp contrast, the Word of God defines God by name ...   • "There are gods above all other gods, and gods beyond the gods of the universes." (Scientology, 8-8008, pp. 72-3)
  • "The whole Christian movement is based on the victim ... A Scientologist is not a victim ... We can win by converting victims.  Christianity succeeded in making people into victims.  We can succeed by making victims into people" (HCO Bulletin, 18 July 1959).
  • "Neither Lord Buddha, nor Jesus Christ were OT's according to the evidence.  They were just a shade above clear" (Ability, No. 81, 1959).
  • Scientology claims that it alone "brings man to total freedom and truth" (A Description of the Scientology Religion, p. 57).  The Word of God teaches that Jesus Christ shed His blood upon the cross to set us free (Galatians 5:1; 1st Peter 1:18-19).
  • "It is despicable and utterly beneath contempt to tell a man he must repent, that he is evil" (Professional Auditor Bulletin [PAB] #31, 23 July 1954).  In sharp contrast, Romans 3:23 declares ... "For all have sinned."
  • "Nobody but the individual can die for his sins" (HCO Bulletin, 2 January 1960).  Hubbard is a liar!  Unsaved men who die in their sins without Christ will die the second death, paying for their sins forever in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15, 21:8).  1st Corinthians 15:3 proclaims ... "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures."

  • "Hell is a total myth, an invention just to make people unhappy and is a vicious lie" (PAB #130, 15 Feb. 1958). Is L. Ron Hubbard being punished in Hell at this moment for his rejection of Christ.
  • "Religion ... being basically a control mechanism used by those who have sent the preclear into a body. You will find the cross as a symbol all over the universe, and the Christ legend as an implant in preclears millions of years ago" (PAB #31, 23 July 1954).
  • In Scientology's Class 8 course, lecture 10, (3 October 1968) Hubbard taught, "Somebody somewhere on this planet, back about 600 B.C. found some pieces of R6, and I don't know how they found it, either by watching madman or something. But since that time they have used it and it became what is known as Christianity. The man on the cross. There was no Christ" (Corydon and Hubbard, L. Ron Hubbard, Messiah or Madman? p. 362).   • Hubbard claimed that through "scientific research," not opinion, he went to Heaven.  He wrote, "For a long while some people have been cross with me for my lack of cooperation in believing in a Christian Heaven, God, and Christ.  I have never said that I didn't disbelieve in a Big Thetan, but there was something very corny about Heaven, et. al ... There was a heaven ... Yes, I've been to Heaven. And so have you. You have the pattern of its implants ... The Symbol of the crucified Christ is very apt indeed. It's the symbol of a thetan betrayed ...   • "But I imagine when we finally manage to communicate with beetles under rocks and free them, we'll no doubt find the Creator of Heaven who 43+ trillion years ago designed the Pearly Gates and entrapped us all. Good Lord, I'd hate to be guilty of that overt" (Ibid., p.4)
  • August Murphy, president of the Church of Scientology of San Francisco wrote, "Another basic concept Scientology shares with universal religious thought is reincarnation. Like Buddhism, Hinduism, and early Christianity, Scientology believes that the individual as an immortal being has assumed many bodies in his evolution in the physical universe toward an ultimate realization and freedom from material bondage" (The News-Herald, 27 July 1992 p. 5).  Reincarnation is a lie of the Devil.  
  • Hubbard claims that reincarnation was a belief held by the early Christian church and was removed by "four monks" at the "synod of Constantinople" in 553 A.D. (Have You Ever Lived Before This Life? p. 2).
  • L. Ron Hubbard created an entire universal cosmology that includes an evil Galactic Ruler named Xenu. He places humans on other planets in the Solar System, including Mars and Venus. He populates billions of planets in the universe with people. Do they all have Jesus for their redemption? The Bible doesn't mention any of them. (OT III, seehttp://www.xenu.net/)
  • L. Ron Hubbard claims that Scientology can give people supernatural powers including the power to heal the sick, both body and mind. Hubbard also created a ritual he called "touch assist" which is a Demonic version of the laying on of hands which does not call upon God's power (e.g. See The Road to Xenu, by Margery Wakefield).
So what do you think about the Church of Scientology's claim that their religion is some how compatible with Christianity?
[Note 1] The Church of Scientology claims that the documents which comprise "Operating Thetan Level 8" are forgeries. It is therefore surprising to note that when the Church of Scientology raided the home of Arnie Lerma for alleged copyright violations, the Church of Scientology identified copies of the OT8 documents as copyrighted materials belonging to their Church. Was that an error or does the Church of Scientology disavow L. Ron Hubbard's ideals and policies out of both embarrassment and the fact that his goal is to covertly lead as many people away from Jesus and redemption as possible?

The Satanic and Occult Influence in Scientology

You can read more about Crowley here. Crowley said this about Satan, the Devil:
"I was not content to believe in a personal devil and serve him, in the ordinary sense of the word. I wanted to get hold of him personally and become his chief of staff." -Aleister Crowley, The Confessions of Aleister Crowley, chapter 5 (1929; revised 1970).
To the best of my knowledge, Mr. Hubbard was not a disciple of Crowley, but he was a fan.  Crowley on the other hand is reported to have been in despair over Hubbard and his followers, calling them idiots.  L. Another interesting thing to look at is the Scientology cross. This is their symbol. You can see the huge similarity between Crowley's cross and the one Mr. Hubbard adopted for his new religion.

This clearly shows that the founder of Scientology was so impressed by A. Crowley's work, that he adopted his symbol.

The fact that L. Ron Hubbard was enamored with the occult needs to be kept in mind when evaluating what they teach. The techniques and processes used by Scientologists all over the world come from L. Ron Hubbard, a man influenced by the occult and Aleister Crowley, a Satanist who openly worshipped Lucifer. The Bible exposes Lucifer, who appears as an angel of light, as Satan (2nd Corinthians 11:13-15).

Ron Hubbard is Scientology, just as Charles Taze Russell is the Jehovah's Witnesses, and Joseph Smith is the Mormons (which are all connected with the occult by the way).  Nearly every false religion can be traced back to a single heretic. Lutheranism began with Martin Luther.  Seventh-Day Adventism began with Ellen G. White.  Christian Science began with Mary Baker Eddy.  Scientology is a dangerous cult of greed... RUN AWAY!

ATLANTA — Gov. Nathan Deal is asking state agencies to find another $553 million in reductions through June 2014.
About half of that would come from higher education and from public health — $108 million from the University System of Georgia and $170 million from the Department of Community Health — while most k-12 school funding is exempt, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported (http://bit.ly/NPz5TV ).
Agencies are still weighing their responses to the order, issued last week, but some will consider layoffs, officials said.
The order marks the fifth consecutive year that the governor's Office of Planning and Budget has told department heads to come up with additional reductions. This year's requested cuts are larger than last year's.
"It's going to be tough because all they have done is cut, cut, cut," Sen. George Hooks, D-Americus, said of the agencies.
State officials last week were sent instructions for preparing their spending plans for the rest of fiscal 2013, which ends June 30, and for fiscal 2014. Those plans must be submitted to the governor by early September. He will then make recommendations to the General Assembly for lawmakers to consider when they return in January for the 2013 session.
Georgia's universities and colleges will be asked to protect programs that directly affect the system's more than 300,000 students, said John Brown, vice chancellor for fiscal affairs.
"Reductions should first come from central and nonacademic functions," he said.
Officials with the Department of Community Health say they're exploring options but don't yet know how they will come up with about $170 million in spending cuts over the next two years. The agency announced in June it planned to ask the General Assembly for $300 million to make up a shortfall this year.
John Ellis, assistant commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, told his board this week that everything, including staff cuts, is on the table in his agency.
"I think this is the new status quo," said Alan Essig, executive director of the Georgia Budget & Policy Institute, an Atlanta think tank.
"Every year there will be more budget cuts," he said. "We have kind of hit bottom, but we keep cutting a little (more) each year."

'Real' Unemployment Rate Shows Far More Jobless

While the national unemployment rate paints a grim picture, a look at individual states and their so-called real jobless rates becomes even more troubling.

The government's most widely publicized unemployment rate measures only those who are out of a job and currently looking for work. It does not count discouraged potential employees who have quit looking, nor those who are underemployed — wanting to work full-time but forced to work part-time.
For that count, the government releases a separate number called the "U-6," which provides a more complete tally of how many people really are out of work.
The numbers in some cases are startling.
Consider: Nevada's U-6 rate is 22.1 percent, up from just 7.6 percent in 2007. Economically troubled California has a 20.3 percent real rate, while Rhode Island is at 18.3 percent, more than double its 8.3 percent rate in 2007.
Those numbers compare especially unfavorably to the national rate, high in itself at 14.9 percent though off its record peak of 17.2 percent in October 2009.
Only three states — Nebraska (9.1 percent), South Dakota (8.6 percent) and North Dakota (6.1 percent) — have U-6 rates under 10 percent, according to research from RBC Capital Markets.
Election battleground states paint a picture not much more flattering. Florida's U-6 number is an ugly 17 percent, though Pennsylvania and Ohio are both around 14 percent, below the national U-6 average.
The numbers come as the government prepares to release its latest reading, the July nonfarm payrolls number, on Friday. Economists expect the report show about 100,000 jobs created for the month and the traditional "U-3" rate to hold steady at 8.2 percent.
"The lack of improvement in state U-6 rates continues to be troubling," Chris Mauro, head of US Municipals Strategy at RBC, said in a research note. "While down from recent peaks, state U-6 levels remain dramatically higher than they were in 2007 and 2008."
Mauro used the numbers to demonstrate that investing in municipal bonds remains a challenge because high real unemployment rates will be a drain on local finances.
"We remain concerned about the corrosive influence that these stubbornly high U-6 rates may have on both consumer sentiment and state and local tax revenues," he said. "At current levels, these U-6 rates will continue to be a drag on credit quality."

Toll-Free Entitlements: States Make Food-Stamp Benefits Easily Available

A new Government Accountability Office report reveals that in more than 40 states a growing number of households are able to collect food-stamp benefits simply by receiving a government-issued brochure or accessing a toll-free number.
For example, in states like Alabama, Hawaii and Montana, a brochure automatically triggers eligibility in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). In California, Kentucky, Maine and Nebraska, state-issued pamphlets or “resource guides” convey the same eligibility. Other states use a variety of other methods, including notices on the program’s application and a variety of other printed materials.
In states like Delaware, the program application “refers to a pregnancy prevention hotline.” For Oklahoma, SNAP participation may be obtained through a website and an “800 number about marriage classes,” according to a report on SNAP eligibility produced by the Congressional Research Service.
More than $460 million in estimated categorical eligibility payments for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s SNAP benefits “would not have been eligible for the program without broad-based categorical eligibility (BBCE) because their incomes were over the federal SNAP eligibility limits,” according to the GAO report.
The GAO estimates that such payments account for roughly 2.6 percent or 473,000 households receiving SNAP benefits. According to a separate study from the Congressional Budget Office, restrictions on categorical eligibility could save an estimated $11.5 billion over the next 10 years.
Since fiscal year 2001, the number of monthly federal SNAP participants has nearly tripled to 45 million, with corresponding costs over the same time period quadrupling to just under $80 billion, the GAO reported.
The increase in overall SNAP participation and cost at the state level derives partly from the recent recession, but also substantially from an increase in eligibility triggers that have added to the number of program participants.
“Since the federal government pays for 100 percent of the cost of food stamp benefits, state governments have a financial incentive to enroll as many individuals as possible in the program,” wrote Heritage’s Robert Rector and Katherine Bradley last week in a paper that outlined needed reforms to the program. Their report includes information on each state’s categorical eligibility options.
Eligibility policies have determined that any type of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) non-cash aid may also automatically trigger SNAP categorical eligibility in at least 43 states and territories as of May 1, 2012, according to the July 2012 report on SNAP “cat-el” from the CRS.
The number of states implementing broad-based categorical eligibility has jumped dramatically since fiscal year 2007. From 2001-2006, only seven states used some form of BBCE; that number began to increase with the onset of the recession, with an additional 30 states enabling the policy from 2008-2010, according to the GAO.
SNAP provides benefits through electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards issued to eligible low-income households.
The GAO noted that the BBCE implementation carried with it significant concerns that jeopardized the integrity of the SNAP program by interfering with eligibility verification leading, ultimately, to “more payment errors”:
Further, both our analysis of USDA data and our discussions with SNAP staff suggest that BBCE may, in fact, contribute to more payment errors. Although BBCE has been promoted by USDA as a possible means to reduce errors, we found that a greater percentage of SNAP households eligible under BBCE that had incomes over the federal limits had payment errors than other households (17.2 percent compared to 6.7 percent) in fiscal year 2010. This may be related to the fact that these households were significantly more likely to have earned income, and income is a frequent cause of SNAP payment errors. In addition, while most states’ BBCE policies removed a potential source of error by eliminating asset limits, SNAP caseworkers we spoke with told us that a reduction in the level of verification they perform may actually increase the potential for errors as well as fraud.
According to the GAO, spot checks in two states indicated that staff reported a reduced “ability to investigate other applicant information for possible inconsistencies.” Furthermore, in several additional states, the GAO noted a “cultural shift towards an overall reduction in the level of verification and investigation” due to increased participation rates and attendant workloads.
“Losing access to information,” the GAO reports, affects the workers’ effort to “help ensure [the] integrity” of the program.
Distribution of the TANF-related brochures and phone numbers was uneven, and in some cases, not readily available, the GAO said:
“Our visits to states suggest that SNAP applicants are not consistently receiving the TANF-funded information required to confer categorical eligibility and that the extent to which this information is TANF-funded is unclear. According to USDA, BBCE policies make most households that apply for SNAP categorically eligible because they receive a TANF-funded service, such as an informational brochure or toll-free number, as long as the household’s income is within the state’s specified income limit. However, in one state we visited, some local SNAP caseworkers told us they did not consistently provide the guide to services brochure to all applicants. In another, staff said that at the applicant’s request, and/or if caseworkers think there is a need, they will provide referrals to services. In a third state we visited, applicants were directed on the SNAP application to call a toll-free number to receive an informational brochure on services; however, we were unsuccessful in obtaining this brochure after repeated (5) attempts to call the number listed.”
The GAO’s acknowledgement of the spotty records of state provision of the required TANF-funded brochures and other materials coincides with a lack of oversight by the administering federal agency’s lack of a requirement of verification to determine if the eligibility-triggering TANF materials were received by the applicants:
“According to agency guidance, while states must document that a household was determined categorically eligible, USDA does not require states to document that the TANF-funded service was received by applicants. As a result, in a state where a document, such as a brochure, is used to confer eligibility, the state does not have to verify that it has provided the document to applicants as part of the eligibility determination process.”

(CNSNews.com) - There were 195,000 fewer people employed in the United States in July than in June, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as the national unemployment rate ticked up from 8.2 percent to 8.3 percent.
Meanwhile, 150,000 people simply dropped out of the labor force during the month and did not seek to find a job.
In June, according to BLS, there had been 142,415,000 people employed in the United States. In July, that dropped to 142,220,000--a decline of 195,000.
Similarly, in June, there were 155,163,000 people in the civilian labor force in the United States. To be counted in the civilian labor force, person must be 16 years old or older, not be in the military, prison or a mental institution, and either have a job or have actively looked for a job in the past four weeks.
In July, the number of people in the civilian labor force was 155,013,000--a decline of 150,000 from June.
The number of people who were unemployed--meaning they were 16 or older, not in the military, a prison or a mental institution, and had actively looked for a job in the last four weeks-jumped by 45,000 during the month, climbing from 12,749,000 in June to 12,794,000 in July.
During July, the number of people who simply left the labor force (150,000) exceeded the number of newly unemployed (45,000) by more than two to one (105,000).

(CNSNews.com) - 175,000 fewer American women held jobs in July than in June, according to employment data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
By contrast, the number of men who held jobs declined by only 20,000 from June to July, according to BLS.
From June to July, the number of women in the labor force--meaning they either had a job or had actively looked for one in the last four weeks--dropped by 94,000.
Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate ticked up for women for the third straight month. In May, it was 7.9 percent. In June, it was 8.0 percent. And in July, it was 8.1 percent. (The unemployment rate for men held steady in May, June and July at 8.4 percent.)
In June, there had been 66,929,000 American women employed. In July, that dropped 66,754,000--a month-to-month decline of 175,000.
Similarly, in June, there had been 72,713,000 women in the labor force. In July, that dropped to 72,619,000--a decline of 94,000.
In June, there had been 75,486,000 American men employed. In July, that dropped to 75,466,000, a decline of 20,000.
In total, there were 195,000 fewer Americans employed in July than in June--with 175,000 of those people being women.
When President Barack Obama took office in January 2009, there were 66,969,000 women employed in the United States. Since then, the number of women employed in this country has dropped to 66,754,000--a decline of 215,000 in the number of women employed.
In January 2009, the unemployment rate among women was 7.0 percent compared to the 8.1 percent unemployment rate among American women in July.

According to Officer George Gordon, the fetus was discovered at a home located in the Wedgewood Town Homes community.  
Police say the fetus was found in a shoe box in the freezer.
No further details were immediately released.

  • Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.


  • This Act may be cited as the ‘Pathway to Job Creation through a Simpler, Fairer Tax Code Act of 2012’.

SEC. 2. FINDINGS AND PURPOSES.


  • (a) Findings- Congress finds that the following problems exist with the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (in this section referred to as the ‘tax code’):
    • (1) The tax code is unfair, containing hundreds of provisions that only benefit certain special interests, resulting in a system of winners and losers.
    • (2) The tax code violates the fundamental principle of equal justice by subjecting families in similar circumstances to significantly different tax bills.
    • (3)(A) Many tax preferences, sometimes referred to as ‘tax expenditures,’ are similar to government spending--instead of markets directing economic resources to their most efficient uses, the Government directs resources to other uses, creating a drag on economic growth and job creation.
    • (B) The exclusions, deductions, credits, and special rules that make up such tax expenditures amount to over $1 trillion per year, nearly matching the total amount of annual revenue that is generated from the income tax itself.
    • (C) In some cases, tax subsidies can literally take the form of spending through the tax code, redistributing taxes paid by some Americans to individuals and businesses who do not pay any income taxes at all.
    • (4) The failure to adopt a permanent tax code with stable statutory tax policy has created greater economic uncertainty. Tax rates have been scheduled to increase sharply in 3 of the last 5 years, requiring the enactment of repeated temporary extensions. Additionally, approximately 70 other, more targeted tax provisions expired in 2011 or are currently scheduled to expire by the end of 2012.
    • (5) Since 2001, there have been nearly 4,500 changes made to the tax code, averaging more than one each day over the past decade.
    • (6) The tax code’s complexity leads nearly nine out of ten families either to hire tax preparers (60 percent) or purchase software (29 percent) to file their taxes, while 71 percent of unincorporated businesses are forced to pay someone else to prepare their taxes.
    • (7) The cost of complying with the tax code is too burdensome, forcing individuals, families, and employers to spend over six billion hours and over $160 billion per year trying to comply with the law and pay the actual tax owed.
    • (8) Compliance with the current tax code is a financial hardship for employers that falls disproportionately on small businesses, which spend an average of $74 per hour on tax-related compliance, making it the most expensive paperwork burden they encounter.
    • (9) Small businesses have been responsible for two-thirds of the jobs created in the United States over the past 15 years, and approximately half of small-business profits are taxed at the current top 2 individual rates.
    • (10) The historic range for tax revenues collected by the Federal government has averaged 18 to 19 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), but will rise to 21.2 percent of GDP under current law--a level never reached, let alone sustained, in the Nation’s history.
    • (11) The current tax code is highly punitive, with a top Federal individual income tax rate of 35 percent (which is set to climb to over 40 percent in 2013 when taking into account certain hidden rates), meaning some Americans could face a combined local, State and Federal tax rate of 50 percent.
    • (12) The tax code contains harmful provisions, such as the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), which was initially designed to affect only the very highest-income taxpayers but now threatens more than 30 million middle-class households because of a flawed design.
    • (13) As of April 1, 2012, the United States achieved the dubious distinction of having the highest corporate tax rate (39.2 percent for Federal and State combined) in the developed world.
    • (14) The United States corporate tax rate is more than 50 percent higher than the average rate of member states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)--a factor that discourages employers and investors from locating jobs and investments in the United States.
    • (15) The United States has become an outlier in that it still uses a ‘worldwide’ system of taxation--one that has not been substantially reformed in 50 years, when the United States accounted for nearly half of global economic output and had no serious competitors around the world.
    • (16) The combination of the highest corporate tax rate with an antiquated ‘worldwide’ system subjects American companies to double taxation when they attempt to compete with foreign companies in overseas markets and then reinvest their earnings in the United States.
    • (17) The Nation’s outdated tax code has contributed to the fact that the world’s largest companies are more likely to be headquartered overseas today than at any point in the last 50 years: In 1960, 17 of the world’s 20 largest companies were based in the United States; by 2010, that number sank to a mere six out of 20.
    • (18) The United States has one of the highest levels of taxation on capital--taxing it once at the corporate level and then again at the individual level--with integrated tax rates on certain investment income already reaching roughly 50 percent (and scheduled to reach nearly 70 percent in 2013).
    • (19) The United States’ overall taxation of capital is higher than all but four of the 38 countries that make up the OECD and the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China).
  • (b) Purposes- It is the purpose of this Act to provide for enactment of comprehensive tax reform in 2013 that--
    • (1) protects taxpayers by creating a fairer, simpler, flatter tax code for individuals and families by--
      • (A) lowering marginal tax rates and broadening the tax base;
      • (B) eliminating special interest loopholes;
      • (C) reducing complexity in the tax code, making tax compliance easier and less costly;
      • (D) repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax;
      • (E) maintaining modern levels of progressivity so as to not overburden any one group or further erode the tax base;
      • (F) making it easier for Americans to save; and
      • (G) reducing the tax burdens imposed on married couples and families;
    • (2) is comprehensive (addressing both individual and corporate rates), so as to have the maximum economic impact by benefitting employers and their employees regardless of how a business is structured;
    • (3) results in tax revenue consistent with historical norms;
    • (4) spurs greater investment, innovation and job creation, and therefore increases economic activity and the size of the economy on a dynamic basis as compared to the current tax code; and
    • (5) makes American workers and businesses more competitive by--
      • (A) creating a stable, predictable tax code under which families and employers are best able to plan for the future;
      • (B) keeping taxes on small businesses low;
      • (C) reducing America’s corporate tax rate, which is currently the highest in the industrialized world;
      • (D) maintaining a level of parity between individual and corporate rates to reduce economic distortions;
      • (E) promoting innovation in the United States;
      • (F) transitioning to a globally competitive territorial tax system;
      • (G) minimizing the double taxation of investment and capital; and
      • (H) reducing the impact of taxes on business decision-making to allow such decisions to be driven by their economic potential.

SEC. 3. EXPEDITED CONSIDERATION OF A MEASURE PROVIDING FOR COMPREHENSIVE TAX REFORM.


  • (a) Definition- For purposes of this section, the term ‘tax reform bill’ means a bill of the 113th Congress--
    • (1) introduced in the House of Representatives by the chair of the Committee on Ways and Means not later than April 30, 2013, or the first legislative day thereafter if the House is not in session on that day, the title of which is as follows: ‘A bill to provide for comprehensive tax reform.’; and
    • (2) which is the subject of a certification under subsection (b).
  • (b) Certification- The chair of the Joint Committee on Taxation shall notify the House and Senate in writing whenever the chair of the Joint Committee determines that an introduced bill described in subsection (a)(1) contains at least each of the following proposals:
    • (1) a consolidation of the current 6 individual income tax brackets into not more than two brackets of 10 and not more than 25 percent;
    • (2) a reduction in the corporate tax rate to not greater than 25 percent;
    • (3) a repeal of the Alternative Minimum Tax;
    • (4) a broadening of the tax base to maintain revenue between 18 and 19 percent of the economy; and
    • (5) a change from a ‘worldwide’ to a ‘territorial’ system of taxation.
  • (c) Expedited Consideration in the House of Representatives-
    • (1) Any committee of the House of Representatives to which the tax reform bill is referred shall report it to the House not later than 20 calendar days after the date of its introduction. If a committee fails to report the tax reform bill within that period, such committee shall be automatically discharged from further consideration of the bill.
    • (2) If the House has not otherwise proceeded to the consideration of the tax reform bill upon the expiration of 15 legislative days after the bill has been placed on the Union Calendar, it shall be in order for the Majority Leader or a designee (or, after the expiration of an additional 2 legislative days, any Member), to offer one motion that the House resolve into the Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union for the consideration of the tax reform bill. The previous question shall be considered as ordered on the motion to its adoption without intervening motion except 20 minutes of debate equally divided and controlled by the proponent and an opponent. If such a motion is adopted, consideration shall proceed in accordance with paragraph (3). A motion to reconsider the vote by which the motion is disposed of shall not be in order.
    • (3) The first reading of the bill shall be dispensed with. General debate shall be confined to the bill and shall not exceed 4 hours, equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means. At the conclusion of general debate, the bill shall be read for amendment under the five-minute rule. Any committee amendment shall be considered as read. At the conclusion of consideration of the bill for amendment the Committee shall rise and report the bill to the House with such amendments as may have been adopted. The previous question shall be considered as ordered on the bill and amendments thereto to final passage without intervening motion except one motion to recommit with or without instructions. A motion to reconsider the vote on passage of the bill shall not be in order.
  • (d) Expedited Consideration in the Senate-
    • (1) COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION- A tax reform bill, as defined in subsection (a), received in the Senate shall be referred to the Committee on Finance. The Committee shall report the bill not later than 15 calendar days after receipt of the bill in the Senate. If the Committee fails to report the bill within that period, that committee shall be discharged from consideration of the bill, and the bill shall be placed on the calendar.
    • (2) MOTION TO PROCEED- Notwithstanding rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate, it is in order, not later than 2 days of session after the date on which the tax reform bill is reported or discharged from committee, for the majority leader of the Senate or the majority leader’s designee to move to proceed to the consideration of the tax reform bill. It shall also be in order for any Member of the Senate to move to proceed to the consideration of the tax reform bill at any time after the conclusion of such 2-day period. A motion to proceed is in order even though a previous motion to the same effect has been disagreed to. All points of order against the motion to proceed to the tax reform bill are waived. The motion to proceed is not debatable. The motion is not subject to a motion to postpone.
    • (3) CONSIDERATION- No motion to recommit shall be in order and debate on any motion or appeal shall be limited to one hour, to be divided in the usual form.
    • (4) AMENDMENTS- All amendments must be relevant to the bill and debate on any amendment shall be limited to 2 hours to be equally divided in the usual form between the opponents and proponents of the amendment. Debate on any amendment to an amendment, debatable motion, or appeal shall be limited to 1 hour to be equally divided in the usual form between the opponents and proponents of the amendment.
    • (5) VOTE ON PASSAGE- If the Senate has proceeded to the bill, and following the conclusion of all debate, the Senate shall proceed to a vote on passage of the bill as amended, if amended.
  • (e) Conference in the House- If the House receives a message that the Senate has passed the tax reform bill with an amendment or amendments, it shall be in order for the chair of the Committee on Ways and Means or a designee, without intervention of any point of order, to offer any motion specified in clause 1 of rule XXII.
  • (f) Conference in the Senate- If the Senate receives from the House a message to accompany the tax reform bill, as defined in subsection (a), then no later than two session days after its receipt--
    • (1) the Chair shall lay the message before the Senate;
    • (2) the motion to insist on the Senate amendment or disagree to the House amendment or amendments to the Senate amendment, the request for a conference with the House or the motion to agree to the request of the House for a conference, and the motion to authorize the Chair to appoint conferees on the part of the Senate shall be agreed to; and
    • (3) the Chair shall then be authorized to appoint conferees on the part of the Senate without intervening motion, with a ratio agreed to with the concurrence of both leaders.
  • (g) Rulemaking- This section is enacted by the Congress as an exercise of the rulemaking power of the House of Representatives and Senate, respectively, and as such is deemed a part of the rules of each House, respectively, or of that House to which they specifically apply, and such procedures supersede other rules only to the extent that they are inconsistent with such rules; and with full recognition of the constitutional right of either House to change the rules (so far as relating to the procedures of that House) at any time, in the same manner, and to the same extent as any other rule of that House.

I have seen the liberal giver rise to wealth of which he never dreamed; and I have as often seen the mean, ungenerous churl descend to poverty by the very parsimony by which he thought to rise. Men trust good stewards with larger and larger sums, and so it frequently is with the Lord; He gives by cartloads to those who give by bushels. Where wealth is not bestowed the Lord makes the little much by the contentment which the sanctified heart feels in a portion of which the tithe has been dedicated to the Lord. Selfishness looks first at home, but godliness seeks first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, yet in the long run selfishness is loss, and godliness is great gain. It needs faith to act towards our God with an open hand, but surely He deserves it of us; and all that we can do is a very poor acknowledgment of our amazing indebtedness to His goodness.
