In a move that serves as a capstone to Rep. Ron Paul’s colorful career, the House on Wednesday approved a bill that would let Congress’s chief investigators conduct a full audit of the Federal Reserve’s shrouded decision-making process.
In a move that serves as a capstone to Rep. Ron Paul’s colorful career, the House on Wednesday voted to have Congress‘ chief investigators conduct a full audit of the Federal Reserve’s shrouded decision-making process.
The overwhelming 327-98 vote sends the measure to the Senate, where Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, at one time expressed support for an audit — though he reportedly has changed his mind.
House passage already marks a high-water mark for those who for years have been pushing for an audit, led by Mr. Paul. The Texan rode the slogan “Audit the Fed” to prominence in two Republican presidential primary campaigns, and he said the bill is a chance for Congress to begin to reclaim the money and banking powers it is given in the Constitution, but had delegated to the Fed.
Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke doesn’t like the prospect of such a broad audit, calling it a “nightmare scenario” last week and saying it would lead to politicians second-guessing his decisions.
Opposition in Congress came chiefly from Democratic leaders, who said they doubt the bill ever becomes law — but worried about sending a signal to financial markets that lawmakers want to intervene in financial affairs.
“It seems to me what we’re talking about is taking some fake punches at the Federal Reserve but not doing anything serious,” said Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee.
Every top Democratic leader voted against the bill, including Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California and Whip Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland, along with 95 other Democrats and one Republican, Rep. Robert L. Turner of New York.
“While I have serious concerns about the Fed’s actions during the financial crisis in 2008 and the monetary easing since then, Congress should not attempt to politicize what should be an independent institution,” said Mr. Turner.
He said the independent agency already publishes minutes from some meetings and releases its balance sheets to the public.
That wasn’t enough for 238 Republicans and 89 Democrats, who broke with their party leaders to create a powerful left-right coalition in favor of a full audit.
“The Fed wants to be spared a full audit,” said Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich, Ohio Democrat. “They want monetary deliberations private. They then use that privacy shield to keep irregularities from regulators and from congressional view, exposing investors and consumers to massive losses.”
The bill would grant the Government Accountability Office, which is Congress‘ chief investigative arm, the power to retroactively review the Fed’s decision-making — particularly on monetary policy.
Congress established the Federal Reserve nearly a century ago. The system, which consists of a board of governors and 12 regional banks, acts as lender of last resort to the country’s banking system, and it is charged with fighting inflation and with promoting economic growth and employment.
The interest rates it sets have a direct impact on the rates that banks charge consumers, but Congress shielded some of the board’s decision-making from view in order to give the agency independence.
Now, after the recent financial collapse, many lawmakers have begun to question the Fed’s decisions and want a closer look at why it has taken those steps.
Mr. Frank, though, said that giving the GAO powers to look at monetary policy is a precursor to Republicans trying to change the Fed’s mission overall to focus solely on monetary policy, not employment.
The bill marks a major win for Mr. Paul, who is retiring from Congress this year after 12 terms and three presidential runs — two as a Republican and one as the Libertarian Party nominee.
On the campaign trail in 2008 and again in 2012, his call to audit the Fed drew wild applause from his supporters, many of whom said they first discovered the maverick lawmaker because of his writings on monetary policy.
The House’s action will put pressure on Mr. Reid in the Senate, where a companion audit bill is sponsored by Mr. Paul’s son, Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican.
Senate Republicans have some methods that they could use to try to force a vote on the measure, too.
Mr. Reid’s office didn’t reply to a request for comment Wednesday.
Congress has approved more limited audits of the Fed in recent years. Following through on that, the GAO reported last year that the Fed repeatedly invoked emergency authority to expand its lending during the Wall Street crisis in 2008 and 2009, including major loans to prop up the housing market.
The audit also found that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which had a major role in the lending, did not have sufficient controls to prevent conflicts of interest for its employees.

At this time, we recognize that Vice President Joe Biden is now President Joe Biden, and that he and Senator John McCain and Senator John Kerry have authority shared between all three of them as vested in having signature power and authority, acting collectively as President of the United States.
Obama’s roots, his questionable ties to Muslims in regards to Gaddafi, and most recently an allegation of connections to the Muslim Brotherhood have made the people fear that Obama is a plant and an internal security risk. While we can not verify the level of wrongdoing to be treason, except with Obama’s lobbying with the Chinese over the 59,000 fake missile tracker chips, but we can now verify that Obama is not a citizen, and as President in taking the Oath of Office, that is sufficient enough to effectively remove Obama from authority because his signature is now useless in protecting the United States and its interest in our integrity with foreign powers.

Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.
Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.
Additionally may it be stated for the record: Obama refuses to sign legislation of any kind because of repeal of H.R. 4872 and not getting his way against the will of the people on Obamacare, but since his signature is worthless and devoid of authority because he has no provable citizenship, the law was declared invalid, and it was declared null and void by the House on 7/11/12, as if it never existed, so that it will not be implemented as a $2 trillion tax increase that provided no one health insurance.
During the past 7 months, Obama has tried to no avail to rile tensions with Iran. Iran has problems with an internal terrorist group called Hezbollah, who Ahmedinejad pays off to avoid a coup, and he does this against his will because he has no protection from the UN and because he has bad blood with Israel. Meanwhile, Iran has feared attacks from its neighbors and various terrorist groups, which has led to fiery speeches, seeming irrationality and paranoia, and heightened tension with America for Iran’s aspirations to have nuclear power and nuclear weapons to defend itself.
The United States does believe that Iran has the right to defend itself, but this has not come without countless inspections, redundant and burdensome sanctions on Iran, which have distracted our military and raised the cost of gasoline. Ahmedinejad’s reluctance to come to the UN circle have been from fear of involvement against Syria or crippling requirements over his outbursts that would prevent him from maintaining sufficient arms, if he was attacked within, by nuclear weapons from Hezbollah or another group. This is not to play the devil’s advocate, but Netanyahu must make every effort to supply us with intelligence information on these matters, because we have not developed or have even been able to maintain a relationship with Iran due to the outbursts of Ahmedinejad and Obama’s asinine impositions, for Ahmedinejad’s unwillingness to come to the UN circle, and the callous remarks Ahmedinejad made toward the people of Syria despite Assad killing his own people. While we understand Ahmedinejad’s position and predicaments, only recently has he complied with nearly all sanctions as reported by Chinese inspectors.
Rather than sitting down at the table and negotiating, as Obama said that he would redefine foreign policy, Obama has merely taken the money of Muslim Moderates without preserving, promoting, and creating world peace. Instead, Obama has taken to divisive exchange of class warfare and racism with those whom he calls ‘fellow Americans’, stoking their anger while provoking unwanted hostility from various Arab countries and citizens. This has exasperated both Americans and Muslims elsewhere in the world.
Today, we declare Obama has no authority, as he never had authority, and we delegate the responsibility of governing our Nation to the capable hands of Joe Biden, with respect to Senate reporting in entrusted power and authority to Senator John McCain and Senator John Kerry, all three have signature power collectively as President. May it stand that Obama has officially been removed as Commander in Chief 7/23/12, and that he remains impeached and under criminal investigation prior to the upcoming election 11-6-12.

Count this as a potential win for Mitt Romney's message about business owners: 59 percent of them disapprove of President Barack Obama's job performance,according to a Gallup poll released on Thursday.
Only 35 percent of business owners said Obama is handling the presidency in the right way, Gallup reported, making them one of the occupational groups with the most negative opinion of the president. The group was the only one in Gallup's survey whose opinion of Obama dropped significantly since the last survey, falling from 41 percent approval in the first quarter of 2012.
Romney is ramping up attacks on Obama this week based on his July 13 comments about small businesses, which have been taken out of context as an attack on business owners. The president said, "If you've got a business, you didn't build that," but the sentences preceding and following that line make it clear he was referring to the government infrastructure that helps businesses succeed, not the businesses themselves.
The Romney campaign has latched onto the "You didn't build that" comment anyway, including a clip of it in campaign videos and holding 24 events across the country to "allow small business owners the chance to respond."
Obama said the attacks were "a bogus issue" in an interview that aired July 20 on WCTV-TV in Tallahassee, and released an ad calling them "flat-out wrong."
In the Gallup poll, farming, fishing and forestry workers are the least impressed by Obama's job performance, with only 34 percent approving of it. Professional workers were the most impressed, with a slight majority, 52 percent, saying they approve.
Obama's overall approval ratings have increased a bit among workers since the first quarter of 2012. According to Gallup, 47 percent of all workers approve of his job performance, up from 45 percent in the first quarter.

It was then that my eyes opened to theoppression of our government on the black community, and I became a conservative at home and in the ballot box. My involvement with the Tea Party put my name on a national stage and allowed this project to take flight.”
The film takes viewers on a journey with Bryant across the country that traces the footsteps of runaway slaves who escaped along routes that became known as the Underground Railroad. He travels into the heart of black communities across the U.S. along a new Underground Railroad. He meets with community organizers, demonstrators, prominent activists and ordinary people trying to solve problems in their communities. He asks “Are we truly ‘Free at last?’”.There is a segment in the film where he asks, or tries to ask, this question to prominent civil rights leaders. Their answers illuminate the problem of slavery tothe welfare state. The sequence in which Al Sharpton avoids answering the question is classic.
Bryant interviews politicians and everyday Americans in front of Washington, D.C. monuments and in ghetto alleys. He points out that the Black community has 40 percent of its population on welfare, 72 percent of its children born out of wedlock and a 48 percent abortion rate, and asks “Is this what the black community has to show for its 95% support of the Democratic Party?”He also fills in some of the history of the civil rights movement and the Democratic and Republican Parties that is not generally known. Even as a college history major, I didn’t realize that it was Republican PresidentEisenhower who desegregated the American military and introduced the first civil rights act since reconstruction – The Civil Rights Act of 1957.
But, filling in the blanks and shattering myths is what this film is all about. According to Bryant, who had a front row seat to the civil rights movement in the South, “There is a 50-year-old lie that has caused an entire people to become harlots to the political idea that government knows what is best.”Bryant is not alone in supporting this belief. The film’s theme reveals itself as Bryant travels the country interviewing people from every economic and social background. Dr. Alveda King, Economist Thomas Sowell, Florida Congressman Allen West, Presidential Candidate Herman Cain, commentator and activist Star Parker and talk show host David Webb are a few of the people Bryant encounters on his trek along the new Underground Railroad.No matter where you place yourself on the political spectrum, this film is worth viewing. It offers insights into the last fifty years of the American experience that are valuable to any citizen. The conclusion of the film is extremely powerful and will be moving for anyone who loves the United States of America.

Many have speculated that Obama’s refusal to visit Israel is done strictly out of deference to Muslim countries throughout the Middle East who refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist.There is also speculation that Obama is also trying to also appease the hard fringe of the Democratic Party that is sympathetic to the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority. This is the same President who called for a return to the pre-1967 borders; openly derided Prime Minister Netanyahu to the French President on national TV, insinuating that he’s a liar and complaining that he has “to deal with him every day;” snubbed Prime Minister Netanyahu by walking out of a meeting with him to have dinner with his family after issuing one-sided demands on settlements; excluded Israel from the Global Counterterrorism Forum; and the list goes on and on.
All you have to do is take a look at a map of Europe and Asia to see how the President purposely avoided traveling to Israel. Countries he’s visited include: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Russia, India, Poland, China, Indonesia, and dozens of other countries.

Should government officials be able to block businesses from opening or expanding due to disagreement with the political views of the business’ executives? Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel evidently believes he should have this power:The anti-gay views openly espoused by the president of a fast food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches have run afoul of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and a local alderman, who are determined to block Chick-fil-A from expanding in Chicago.“Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values,” Emanuel said Wednesday.“What the CEO has said as it relates to gay marriage and gay couples is not what I believe, but more importantly, it’s not what the people of Chicago believe. We just passed legislation as it relates to civil union and my goal and my hope … is that we now move on recognizing gay marriage. I do not believe that the CEO’s comments … reflects who we are as a city.”Obviously, it’s perfectly legitimate for private citizens to decide not to patronize a business with executives who have such views (I’d likely refrain from doing so in this case). Beyond that, if a business is engaging in discriminatory hiring or service practices in violation of the law — refusing to hire gay employees or serve gay patrons in cities which have made sexual orientation discrimination illegal — then it is perfectly legitimate to take action against them.

This is America: in a time where we could use all the jobs we can get, Rahm Emanuel as Mayor of Chicago is blocking Chick-Fil-A because their President opposes same sex marriage: hello, Rahm Emanuel --- there is a reason the Kathy family is successful, and it is because they have God's blessing from obedience. House GOP passes latest anti-regulation bill

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Republican-led House on Thursday passed legislation that would freeze major government regulations until the unemployment rate, now at 8.2 percent, drops to 6 percent or below.The latest GOP attempt to rein in Obama administration's rulemaking, like previous anti-regulation bills, is virtually certain to die in the Democratic-controlled Senate.The vote was 245-172, with 13 Democrats voting for the GOP bill and two Republicans against it.In familiar arguments, Republicans contended that unelected bureaucrats were costing businesses time and money and preventing hiring new workers. Democrats countered that consumer protection, health care, aid to veterans, food safety and workplace rules would suffer if Washington cannot regulate these areas.Some earlier Republican bills were aimed at specific regulations, including environmental ones. But this latest legislation would affect proposed rules across the board and rival the scope a measure passed last December that would give Congress the power to approve any major regulation from the executive branch.The administration, in threatening a veto, said in a statement that the bill would undermine critical public health and safety protections, introduce uncertainly in government decision-making and interfere with carrying out laws passed by Congress. The administration has promoted its own program to eliminate burdensome regulations, but Republicans say the effort is weak and they cite complaints from small business owners they hope to woo in the November elections.During debate on the bill Wednesday, Rep. Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Texas, lamented the problems that Republicans have in the Senate with their anti-regulation bills. "I hope it has better luck than some of the other bills we've passed ... when it gets across the Capitol," he said.In addition to the proposed freeze, the measure also would:—Prevent lame-duck administrations from issuing economically significant regulations.—Ensure that parties affected by new rules could intervene, before federal agencies sign on to court settlements that would require new regulations.—Streamline issuance of federal construction permits, especially for energy projects that bill sponsors say are delayed by red tape.The bill would apply to regulations likely to have an annual cost of $100,000 or more, or adversely affect the economy, productivity, competition, jobs, the environment, and public health and safety.Despite the sweeping language, Issa said the freeze, if in force last year, would have affected only 66 of 3,000 rules. The chief sponsor of the bill, Arkansas Republican Tim Griffin, said the legislation would allow a president to get a waiver for any regulation affected by the freeze. But Congress would have to approve the request.Rep. Reid Ribble, R-Wis., attempted to personalize the debate with a story about the roofing business started by his father."He built his company in honesty and integrity and the government wasn't in the way," he said. In 1850, the French economist Frederic Bastiat wrote “That Which Is Seen and That Which Is Not Seen,” in which he noted that, while politicians liked to trumpet the visible benefits of their largess, there were often unseen costs and consequences that resulted from those policies.It is a lesson that politicians should heed today.Take, for example, Obamacare. The president loves to cite the fact that college students are now able to stay on their parents’ policies until age 26. This has undoubtedly made it easier for some students to get or keep insurance coverage. But the additional coverage is not free. In fact, according to the Department of Health and Human Services, the cost of continuing coverage from 18 to 26 could run as high as $3,400 per child per year. Much of that additional cost is passed back to companies that provide insurance coverage to dependents of their employees.Politicians often act as though government programs are cost free.The predictable result: Companies are dropping dependent coverage altogether. Among them is one of the largest union-administered health-insurance funds in New York, SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, which is now dropping dependent coverage for 30,000 workers. Ironically, the fund had previously covered nearly 6,000 workers’ children, some up to age 23. Those students, along with other spouses and children, are now out of luck.And what about students whose parents don’t receive dependent coverage at work, and who can’t afford to pay the additional cost themselves? Many of them used to be able to get coverage through their college. But new rules and regulations under Obamacare are forcing many colleges to discontinue their coverage or to dramatically raise premiums.Michael Tanner is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute and author of Leviathan on the Right: How Big-Government Conservatism Brought Down the Republican Revolution.For example, Lenoir-Rhyne University of Hickory, N.C., the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash., and Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, are all dropping school-sponsored plans starting in the fall. The colleges said that Obamacare’s regulations would have driven up students’ premiums tenfold. And, Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., was forced to raise the premium on the plan it offered students from $445 to more than $2,000 to pay for the new level of coverage required by the health-care law.The Obama administration’s requirement that insurance include contraceptive coverage is also causing Catholic universities to drop student coverage. Already, Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio, and Ave Maria University in Florida have recently dropped their student plans.The president is not going to be talking about those students who have lost their health insurance because of his policies.Similarly, another provision of Obamacare that the president frequently talks about is a ban on insurers’ discriminating against preexisting conditions for children. (The provisions for children have already taken effect, while the preexisting condition provisions for adults don’t start until 2014). Not surprisingly, this encouraged parents with sick children to rush to sign them up for coverage. Good for them. But parents with healthy children were less likely to get coverage, especially since the inflow of sick children drove up premiums. Faced with this “adverse selection death spiral,” insurers in 20 states have responded by discontinuing “child only” insurance coverage. Thus, thousands of parents will now either have to purchase much more expensive family coverage or else forgo insurance for their children altogether.Millions of workers may also soon find themselves uninsured, or at least dumped off their current employer plan. A new survey by Deloitte released this week suggests that at least 10 percent of employers plan to drop their coverage in the next couple of years as a result of Obamacare. And, it could be worse: A separate survey by McKinsey & Company put the number of companies considering dropping their coverage as high as 30 percent. Of course many of the workers will be able to get coverage and possibly subsidies through the exchanges, but they will certainly face fewer choices and higher prices.Nor should we forget that across the country there are people who are not being hired or, worse, are being laid off, because employers cannot afford the cost of insurance, especially since Obamacare has not only failed to curb rising insurance costs, it has already added 2–3 percent to premium prices. These unemployed workers are more of the unseen victims of Obamacare.This is a lesson that goes well beyond Obamacare. Politicians often act as though government programs are cost free. President Obama, in particular, seems to believe that government intervention comes without any down side. Regulations do only good. Taxes don’t harm anyone — except maybe a few rich people, and they don’t count anyway. But there are always costs and unexpected consequences. Those costs and consequences may not be as easily seen as the goodies that government distributes, but they are no less real.Or as another great economist, Milton Friedman, put it two hundred years after Bastiat, “There’s no such thing as a free lunch.”

An amendment to a Senate bill restructuring the U.S. Postal Service's financial framework would institute new agency reporting requirements for retiring federal workers, anticipating a "deluge of retirees," from USPS.
Sens. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), introduced an amendment last week to the 21st Century Postal Service Act of 2012 (S. 1789), that requires the Office of Personnel Management to take new steps to chip away at a longstanding backlog of federal retirement claims.
In a floor speech Monday, Warner said his office has received hundreds of requests from federal retirees who have faced long waits and "inordinate hardship ... while their retirement paperwork moves through the system."
And the retirement backlog could grow larger.
Much of the postal reform bill's cost-savings stem from reducing its workforce, in part through early retirements. All told, the bill sets a goal of reducing the USPS workforce by 18 percent, which would add nearly 100,000 applications to the retirement pipeline.
New reporting requirements
The amendment requires OPM to submit monthly public reports to lawmakers and the Government Accountability Office evaluating USPS retirement claims — for timeliness, completeness and accuracy — compared to other federal agencies.
"This will allow us to see which federal agencies have the best — and worst — track record in submitting the paperwork to OPM," Warner said.
The amendment also requires OPM to list the total number of pending retirement claims along with how long each application has been pending.
Finally, OPM would be required to provide a timetable detailing progress on one part of its technology-modernization process for receiving and processing retirement claims. The overhaul, which began in 2008, will ultimately allow OPM to electronically receive personnel information from the five federal agency payroll processors, which includes USPS.
Warner said the still largely paper-based system is "unacceptable" in 2012.
"It's simply no longer feasible to expect that manual data entry for retirement and benefits claims makes sense when we have technology that can dramatically lower processing time and increase accuracy," he added.
Warner has been among the most vocal critics of OPM's handling of retirement and other benefits claims.
Warner foresees USPS retirement 'tsunami'
OPM has made progress in recent months. Since January, it has consistently exceeded its monthly goals and the backlog fell by 14 percent to 52,000 in March.
But Warner suggested the large wave of USPS retirements envisioned and encouraged by the Senate postal reform bill could push OPM's retirement-processing efforts over the edge.
"With close to 100,000 potential new retirees ... OPM's going to get hit by a tsunami," he said.
The Senate is expected to vote Tuesday on the 21st Century Postal Service Act of 2012. In his floor speech, Warner said the amendment had been included in a manager's package, which contains previously agreed-upon amendments and add-ons to the larger bill.

New York has one of the most extensive and one of the oldest transportation infrastructures in the country. Engineering difficulties because of the terrain of the state and the unique issues of the city brought on by urban crowding have had to be overcome since the state was young. Population expansion of the state generally followed the path of the early waterways, first the Hudson River and then the Erie Canal. Today, railroad lines and the New York State Thruway follow the same general route. The New York State Department of Transportation is often criticized for how they maintain the roads of the state in certain areas and for the fact that the tolls collected along the roadway have long passed their original purpose. Until 2006, tolls were collected on the Thruway within The City of Buffalo. They were dropped late in 2006 during the campaign for Governor (both candidates called for their removal).In addition to New York City's famous mass transit subway, four suburban commuter railroad systems enter and leave the city: the Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad, Port Authority Trans-Hudson, and five of New Jersey Transit's rail lines. Readers shared their thoughts on this article.On Monday, Rockland County sent a delegation to Albany to ask for the authority to close its widening budget deficit by issuing bonds backed by a sales tax increase.On Tuesday, Suffolk County, one of the largest counties outside New York City, projected a $530 million deficit over a three-year period and declared a financial emergency. Its Long Island neighbor, Nassau County, is already so troubled that a state oversight board seized control of its finances last year.And the city of Yonkers said its finances were in such dire straits that it had drafted Richard Ravitch, the former lieutenant governor, to help chart a way out.Even as there are glimmers of a national economic recovery, cities and counties increasingly find themselves in the middle of a financial crisis. The problems are spreading as municipalities face a toxic mix of stresses that has been brewing for years, including soaring pension, Medicaid and retiree health care costs. And many have exhausted creative accounting maneuvers and one-time spending cuts or revenue-raisers to bail themselves out.The problem has national echoes: Stockton, Calif., a city of almost 300,000, is teetering on the verge of bankruptcy. Jefferson County, Ala., made the biggest Chapter 9 bankruptcy filing in history in November and stopped paying its bondholders. In Rhode Island, the city of Central Falls declared bankruptcy last year, and the mayor of Providence, the state capital, has said his city is at risk as its money runs out.New York City’s annual pension contributions have increased to $8 billion from $1.5 billion over the past decade.“We really are up against it,” Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said during a recent trip to Albany, urging the state to reduce pension benefits for future public employees. In a radio interview on Friday, Mr. Bloomberg noted the spreading financial woes of local governments, saying, “Towns and counties across the state are starting to have to make the real choices — fewer cops, fewer firefighters, slower ambulance response, less teachers in front of the classroom.”And Thomas S. Richards, the mayor of Rochester, recently described a grim situation facing New York’s cities in testimony to the State Legislature, saying, “I fear that Rochester and other upstate cities are approaching the point of financial failure and an inevitable financial control board — as is the case in Buffalo — unless something is done now.”The concerns of municipal officials are validated by the ratings agency Moody’s, which downgraded the debt of Rockland County and Utica last month, and Yonkers and Long Beach last year. New York is hardly alone, and certainly not the worst; for four straight years, Moody’s has had a negative outlook for the country’s local governments. And the problems are likely to persist.“We expect that the pressure from fixed expenditures, and pensions in particular, will continue to be a strain,” said Geordie Thompson, a Moody’s analyst. “This is where the budgetary tradeoffs will continue to be difficult. There will have to be tradeoffs that will have to be made to make those payments.”Pension costs are a particular problem. The stock market collapse of 2008 decimated public pension fund investments, and municipalities are now being asked for greater contributions to make up for the losses. The impact has been drastic: Three percent of New York property tax collections were used to pay pension costs in 2001; by 2015, pension costs are expected to eat up 35 percent of property tax collections.Falling property values have also affected cities and towns because lower assessments hurt property tax collections.The state is taking some steps to ease municipal burdens, but they come with risks. A relatively new plan allows municipalities to borrow from the state pension fund, with interest, a portion of their required contributions to the pension system.“It’s the worst thing that you can do financially,” said Steve Bellone, the Suffolk County executive. “But when you are up against the wall and you have a county that has used every one-shot revenue that it can possibly use already, and you’re facing a deficit of huge proportions, suddenly that becomes not such a bad option.”Suffolk and Nassau are borrowing a combined $85 million this year to pay their required contribution into the state pension system.“That’s where we’re at today,” Mr. Bellone said. “We are in a financial crisis.”In an interview, Mayor Stephanie A. Miner of Syracuse said that “this is uncharted water, in terms of fiscal crisis.” Her city asked Syracuse University for help, and last year the university agreed to pay $500,000 a year for five years to help bail the city out.But Syracuse still faces a deficit that threatens to deplete its reserves. The city has cut 125 jobs in two years, transferred a city-run senior center to the Salvation Army and consolidated its purchasing with the county’s. It is now considering charging residents extra for picking up televisions with their garbage.Like many other mayors, Ms. Miner blamed the state government for passing unreasonable costs, like pensions and other mandates, on to municipal governments.“Unless Albany changes its policies,” she said, “we will be dead.”Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is suggesting new strategies, proposing in his budget to allow municipalities like Albany to receive millions of dollars more in state aid over the next fiscal year in exchange for receiving less in the future. The governor is also proposing that the state assume a greater share of Medicaid cost increases borne by local governments, and that state and local governments be allowed to reduce the pension benefits of future public workers.“The administration is monitoring each situation closely and remains in direct contact with local officials to find ways the state can be helpful to get them through these very difficult times,” Josh Vlasto, a spokesman for the governor, said.The crisis has been forecast by financial experts for some time, in part because municipalities often lag the national economy, meaning that their troubles can crest even as problems for the state and federal governments ease.“These municipalities will not recover when the economy recovers,” said Richard Brodsky, a former assemblyman who is advising Yonkers.“Everybody was complicit in this tsunami, and now it’s landing, but not in Washington or Albany,” he said. “It’s in places like Yonkers, where the choice is between school kids and safe streets.”C. Scott Vanderhoef, the Rockland County executive who was the Republican Party’s nominee for lieutenant governor in 2006, said his county’s $52 million deficit had accumulated over the past four or five years. The county legislature rejected proposed layoffs and service cuts in the budget, so the county is seeking to issue bonds to help bridge its budget gap.“We don’t want to become Erie County or Nassau County,” he said, referring to two counties whose finances are overseen by control boards. “I think you’ll see a dropping off of the programs that many counties now view as important — law enforcement, economic development, parks and recreation. Those kinds of programs will disappear. The United States does not exist to elevate Communism or to establish China as a duality of shared world domination of power. We have come a long way from isolationism-type policies of the 80’s, and the 60’s when 50% of all goods were made in the United States. Never before have we had such an super economic alliance, but we still maintain respect for Chinese culture though we disagree. I agree with China that Senator Reid’s call and command to burn Chinese manufactured uniforms for the Olympics is irresponsible; however, we do call the citizens of the United States to impose a voluntary moratorium on all Chinese goods: in order to encourage the growth of American jobs to reverse our deficit, stop inflation from bankrupting the entirety of the dollar, to restore the soundness of our currency so that we may conduct ethical lending and trade not just with the Chinese, but with the rest of our global partners.

and with the passage of Audit the Federal Reserve voted 327-98 yesterday 7/25/12, the American people request a moratorium on borrowing any money from the Chinese until they agree to lend at the rate of inflation, currently $.33, the value of every dollar now, and we not resume borrowing from the Chinese until we make our first cuts to apply to our deficit reduction plan from 2012-2013 of $1.7 trillion, or until #BushTaxCuts expire.
To not do so is not only unwise, but a sure way to end our partnership with the Chinese. While we do not desire to end our relationship, we ask for a separation period of one year, or until these policies are addressed, so that we may pay our debts honestly and not make the rest of the world suffer with us too, by persisting in fiscally irresponsible spending in borrowing to pay Congress at a cost of $1.2 trillion + $1.7 trillion in interest every 4-5 months, a whopping $3 trillion annually consuming our entire current physical revenue trend, that can’t be reversed with 8% unemployment or this unrestricted borrowing from the Chinese.
Also, we owe it to our Syrian neighbors during these times of crises and now full-fledged Civil War to support them in any way possible to preserve human life and restore possessions lost. Perhaps the Chinese should be so generous as a diplomatic gesture to give them increased and stable access to trade and appropriate concessions regarding certain goods, rather than just to speak of how bad it is, only condemning with words rather than offering real substantive support as a close neighbor. Reach across the fence and your Great Wall China, to show the emotion you so often reserve, now that Turkey as of yesterday at noon declared that it has closed its border for trade.

for my message to you on Facebook, in heeding my concerns regarding inflation that limits our purchasing power and our ability to honor our agreements that have hurt your growth, dropping 7% since our last discussion. Retailers have responded by offering Chinese goods at most stores at 50% off to offset the cost of inflation to consumers, so that goods are still bought eventually. Inflation has restricted most of our purchases to tea and basic household items. Inflation has also proven to be a mutual enemy to burn the candle from both ends, and at the other end for the Chinese leaving them without the wax that they so sought originally to burn their own candles.
May this be well-received, a solution to be implemented for the interim, so that China knows what to expect, and why we refuse to partner with dishonesty despite the expense to lobbyists and political leaders involved. To spare their reputation could spell death to the ailing US economy and bankrupt the progress China has worked so hard to make. On a final note, until we audit the work of the Federal Reserve, banks and commodity traders should consider inflation currently and not abuse these practices as exposed here, when it comes to the price of goods, products, and services, but especially regarding investments and loans with the housing market and home values losing their value to the rate of current inflation. Any country not making these considerations in business practices may be subject to sanctions through the UN, in order that we promote fairness and preserve integrity in economic relationships around the world.

Cloaked in as much mystery as the midnight showing of Batman: “Dark Knight Rises,” it appears that James Holmes – the alleged shooter at a Aurora, Colorado, movie theater that left 12 dead and 58 injured – has little to no digital footprint.It is almost as if James Holmes, 24, formerly of San Diego, never existed.Since the tragic shooting early Friday, law enforcement authorities, news organizations, citizens throughout the country – myself included – have been trying to learn more about Holmes.While the majority of Americans share their entire lives online through social media with status updates, posts, photos and location check-ins, not so James Holmes.While history has proven that crazed lone gunman often telegraph their intentions long before committing acts of violence, not so James Holmes.Unlike Tucson gunman Jared Lee Loughner and Norway shooter Anders Behring Breivik, it appears that no online confession was made by James Holmes.Scouring the Internet for “James Holmes” was no easy task. With thousands of Americans sharing this common name, one would have to look long and hard. After all, early news reports indicated that Holmes barely existed in real life let alone in cyberspace.An experienced investigator and social media expert myself, I found no existence of a Facebook,Twitter, LinkedIn, Classmates, Pinterest, Google Plus, or LiveJournal account for Holmes. I was able to locate an old MySpace account for Holmes where his only post was an initial one when he initiated the account. With the exception of MySpace co-founder Tom Anderson, Holmes had no “real” MySpace friends.Holmes may be different from other alleged shooters. The man arrested in the Gabrielle Giffords shooting, Jared Loughner, had a MySpace page and a YouTube account. Anders Breivik, accused of killing 77 people in Norway, published a manifesto online. Holmes, in contrast, appears to be what some call “Web dead.”While it is possible that Holmes simply didn’t have much of an online identity, it seems unlikely that he had no online fingerprints at all. Some experts suggest an online identity under a pseudonym may emerge, or that Holmes, as a tech-savvy graduate student, limited himself university communications that were password-protected.Most social media services – such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Plus – have strict policies requiring users to go by their real name. In any event, false profiles that appear real do exist among the various social media networks. Appearing real and left unflagged by another user or “friend,” an individual such as Holmes could conceivably exist without revealing his true identity.James Holmes did have an old MySpace account.There is also the possibility that Holmes worked hard to erase his identity online, but experts think that possibility is unlikely.“In the age of social media and an instant online presence, it’s extremely rare not to have a digital footprint,” stated Michael Fertik, the CEO and founder of Reputation.com. “My guess is that we don’t know what name or handle he was using or we just haven’t found it yet.”Fertik added that services such as Reputation.com would help clear some of an Internet history but not all of it.Complicating matters is the fact that “James Holmes” is an extremely common name. In the hours after he was named as the suspect, people flocked to the Internet in an effort to learn more about him. So much so, that another James Holmes – residing in nearby Littleton – had his Facebook page flooded with comments and friend requests.“I appreciate the fact that you are trying to become better-informed about the occurrences last night in Aurora, but you have been somewhat mislead, in that I am not the man who did it,” the misidentified James Holmes wrote on his Facebook wall. ”I am not a 24-year-old gun-slinging killer from Aurora, I am a 22-year old book-slinging mass eater from Littleton.” The Facebook Timeline was signed: “Regards, A different guy named James Holmes.”Over the weekend, another “James Holmes” was misidentified through a Colorado AR-15 Shooters forum. With over 248 posts in a forum named after the very weapon used in the Aurora massacre, this particular “Holmes” – under the user name “IDmaster” – is in the clear. He made several posts following the shooting and arrest of the “real” Holmes.“Holmes could be using a different name, some variation of his name or another name entirely,” stated SEO expert Martin Chernacov of 4CompuService. “For all we know, he could have a significant online presence that we aren’t aware of yet.”Common name or not, James Holmes does have a history.Holmes is originally from the San Diego area having resided with his mother, Arlene, 56, in the 13300 block of Sparren Avenue. He graduated from Westview High School in 2006.Following high school, Holmes went on to earn a B.S. degree in neuroscience from the University of California, Riverside, where he graduated with honors in 2010. While in college he lived on Pentland Way and Everton Place in Riverside.Holmes drove a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon with Colorado tag number 119ROC. With the exception of a 2011 traffic citation for speeding, it appears he has never been arrested or accused of criminal activity.Holmes has never filed for bankruptcy, does not own any real property, does not have any liens or judgments filed against him, and has alternately used the names: “James E. And she has called me a few times and lately it’s been about the Muslim Brotherhood because I’ve been ‑‑ I’ve been talking to people in Washington D.C. and saying, “Hey, what’s the deal with the Muslim Brotherhood thing? Are we looking into this?” Michele called me this morning and she said, “Glenn, there are decent people up on the Hill that are trying to expose the Muslim Brotherhood and it is spreading. This disease is spreading so rapidly, it is breathtaking.” This goes to a documentary that we did about, what, four months ago, three months ago where we exposed what this president is doing with the Muslim Brotherhood and how it is infiltrating all levels. And we’re at a place now that if we don’t stop it, we’re approaching a point of no return. And they are purging everything from our military, from our FBI. So we’re not even teaching what the Muslim Brotherhood stands for. We’re not teaching what radical Islam even is. So how are you ever going to find it? How are you ever going to recognize it? It’s out of control.

Bachmann: After the Fort Hood tragedy, a report was issued that said the real problem in our government is that we are not teaching FBI agents or our military to recognize radical Islam. So that’s what we need to do. We need to teach about it.
Well, in response to that, 50 ‑‑ over 50 Muslim organizations wrote a letter requesting that the White House start a task force to stop that from happening. Five days after the White House got this letter, this October 19th letter ‑‑ and people can see it on my website, or maybe you have it on The Blaze ‑‑ five days after the White House got this letter from the 50 Muslim groups, they started the purge of the federal government. Let me tell you, the federal government doesn’t do anything in five days. But they started the purge of the FBI. So now the FBI, who are supposed to be trained in radical Islam, elements have been purged off their training materials so they are no longer being taught about what radical Islam is in order to be able to truly identify it ahead of time. This is serious. This is also happening throughout our United States military, Department of Justice, and Homeland Security. And the word “purge” isn’t my word. That’s the word used by the 50 Muslim organizations…

But instead, the response was: “How dare you, Michele Bachmann!”
Now let us examine Huma’s mother’s history and activities. Dr. Saleha Mahmood Abedin has been identified in Saudi Arabia as one of the founding members of the Muslim Sisterhood, a Muslim Brotherhood women’s group. This is the same group that half of Egypt was too scared to vote for and that was criminalized for many decades in Egypt for its subversiveness and terror activities. Dr. Abedin is no ordinary Muslim woman, but an activist who supports Sharia law. She is also a long-time chairperson of the “International Islamic Committee for Woman and Child” (IICWC). Now let us examine what that group is doing in Egypt today and why many Egyptians are afraid of its activities and are strongly denouncing it.
The last elections in Egypt have proved that half of Egypt is afraid of the Muslim Brotherhood and does not want to live under Sharia, but that is not the same concern of Abedin’s organization (IICWC), which is advocating Sharia law. The IICW contributed greatly to fear of its agenda after a recent publication in Arabic on its website. The following topics were discussed, among others, suggesting the annulment of Egyptian moderate laws, which would be replaced by Sharia laws. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) Friday defended Rep. Michele Bachmann’s questioning of a top Hillary Clinton aide’s loyalty to the United States, saying the Minnesota lawmaker’s “concern was about the security of the country.”
Asked by CBS host Charlie Rose whether Bachmann was “out of line,” Cantor declined to criticize the congresswoman.

Cantor’s comments are in stark contrast to Speaker John Boehner’s swift and strong denunciations of Bachmann’s conduct.
Earlier this month, Boehner said that questioning whether Clinton aide Huma Abedin had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood was “pretty dangerous.”
“I don’t know Huma, but from everything I do know of her, she has a sterling character,” Boehner said. “And I think accusations like this being thrown around are pretty dangerous.”
When asked by Rose whether there was too much intolerance and whether he was worried some of it was coming from within his own party, Cantor responded Friday that “there is equal opportunity of intolerance, unfortunately, Charlie, in this country. To me, it’s really important for us to remember that we are a country that appreciates freedom and diversity.”
“I feel very strongly about the fact that we are a nation of inclusion. We’re built on the waves of immigrants that have come to these shores. I myself am a member of a minority faith and have enjoyed the ability to pursue and practice that faith unlike I could anywhere else in the world,” Cantor added.
Last week, in more expansive comments on the broader issue of religious tolerance, Cantor told Buzzfeed that it was “absolutely wrong to stereotype or look badly at anyone because of their religion.”
Cantor was not speaking specifically about the Michele Bachmann questions, Buzzfeed notes.
“It’s a bad thing to look at a Muslim and think bad things. Again, we’re all Americans here, and we share beliefs in freedom and the ability to practice our faiths,” the majority leader said.
Abedin is a senior State Department staffer, a close confidante of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s and the wife of former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.)
Bachmann and four other Republicans recently signed letters to intelligence and national security agencies raising questions about the Muslim Brotherhood, specifically calling out Abedin and accusing her late father of having ties to the group.
Others on the right, such as former Bachmann campaign manage Ed Rollins, former GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain and Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist have slammed Bachmann for her letter.
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, on the other hand, has defended Bachmann, saying, “There weren’t allegations, there was a question.”

Legal obstacles face indicted Victor Hill if he wins sheriff's election

Opinions differ on whether indicted former Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill can serve as sheriff if he succeeds in retaking the elected office he lost four years ago.

No he couldn't serve, said the Peace Officers Standards and Training Council, which suspended Hill's peace officer's certification soon after he was indicted on 37 felony counts in January.
Ken Vance, head of POST, said Hill's certification would remain suspended if he is elected but has not yet been tried.
"We don't know when the court case is going to be," Vance said. "If he is found guilty, he cannot be certified. If he wins the court case, we would restore his certification."
Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry, president of the Georgia Sheriffs' Association, said if Hill wins, he could assume the office as long as he has not been convicted. The caveat, Berry said, is that one of the legal requirements is that Hill would have to be certified by POST within six months of taking office, the same as for any non-law enforcement person elected sheriff.
"I'm not aware of anything that would keep him from serving," Berry said. "If he's able to run, then he's able to serve until ... when or if he's convicted. He would have to be certified as a peace officer. He can be elected. He can take office. Whether he can keep it or not is based on a conviction or if he gets his certification back."
Hill is accused of using sheriff's office credit cards, cars and staff for personal gain.
Steven Frey, Hill's defense attorney in the pending racketeering case, said they will fight for certification if Hill wins the July 31 Democratic primary -- and, consequently, the office since there are no Republicans running.
"If it is anyone's intention that this case be tried by default, then we're prepared to defend it anywhere, at any time," Frey said.
Hill could not be reached for comment Thursday. The voice mail on his cellphone, which also serves as the phone for his campaign, was full.
But Hill has said many times that he intends to keep running for the office he lost in 2008 to sitting Sheriff Kem Kimbrough, who also is running.
Hill is one of eight candidates running for the office. He qualified months after a Clayton County grand jury indicted him on charges of racketeering, theft, lying and violation of oath of office.
No trial date has been set. The next date for his case is in September, when a judge will hear arguments on pending motions.
If Hill wins the election and is still under indictment on Jan. 1, the governor could name two sheriffs to join the state attorney general in reviewing the circumstances of his indictment, said Terry Norris, executive director of the sheriffs' association. If the criminal charges concern or affect the operation of the office, the panel could recommend the governor suspend him, with pay, and appoint an interim sheriff until the criminal case is resolved.
"What needs to happen is this court case needs to go," Vance said. "And if he doesn't win the election, it's all kind of moot."

To whom it may concern:
The state of GA has in recent years been probed by the GBI, as several law enforcement agencies have been investigated on issues of corruption: taking in drug money and withholding county funds, mishandling drug evidence and weapons/backlogging evidence, and violating the constitutional rights of those arrested in an effort to promote fear and control to silence the truth. The Patriot Act has been misinterpreted and abused, and I can be silent no more.
Relying on the Henry County Police to follow up on leads at a burglary at parents' home in 2004 has proven fruitless, and they have the audacity to ask me why I don't trust them. They send a letter to my father every year, asking if his property has been returned, so this issue to say the least is still not resolved. Upon talking to more people after not getting results from Henry County, a web of deceit emerged. I have been lied to, threatened, and imprisoned in my quest to find out the truth.
In the summer of 2004, I was told by a co-worker at Acme Hardwood Floor and Tile (Anthony Bruce), that he knew of what had happened at my parents' home, though I hadn't told him of the burglary. I was reluctant to talk about the details, as Henry County was actively investigating, but Mr. Bruce insisted he knew the whereabouts of the weapons and that he could get them back for me, if I requested that of him. Very concerned that my co-worker knew too much about this, but not sure how, I took him to the residence of his friend's house after work one day, as he wanted me to meet his friend Mark Knowles and his daughter. Mark had been a body guard and bouncer and was a hunter, who owned a cross bow and hunting equipment. I was tired, so I hung out with Mark's daughter instead of them, when we got to Mark's place off of Thrailkill Rd. in Clayton County. Not too long after being there, Mr. Bruce was in a hurry to leave, very anxious that he was offered a drink by an undercover Clayton County narcotics officer.
All he would say was that he was a black man who wore a badge dangling around his neck, whose residence was a house a few houses down in the neighborhood. Mr. Bruce implied that they wanted him to sell some drugs to get out of some trouble that he had gotten into, and when I pressed him about it, they basically said that they would look the other way for him to sell drugs for them. I was very dismayed and shocked, but he insisted that in Clayton that they were "all corrupt" but that no one would believe him, and he felt that he had no choice. After what happened at my parents' home in Henry, I could understand why he may have felt that way, but this became more clear as the next couple of years came and went.
Mr. Bruce and I parted ways later that year, as his friends and lifestyle choices were not the same as mine. He owed me money for car insurance/using my vehicle and for being his personal assistant, as he was a supervisor at the tile company listed above, and they were going out of business. He called me from jail in the Spring of 2005, and he asked me if I would ever use anything he'd ever told me about himself against him. I told him that I wouldn't, but that changed a year later. I decided it best that I not speak to him for quite sometime, until he could get his life back together, and be a grandfather to his newest grandchildren.
This helped for awhile, until he insisted that I pick him up and take him somewhere when he was drunk one night. Not wanting him to drive, or knowing that we were going to Matt Brown's house, I took him up to Joy Lake Rd. We stopped on the way back, where he apologized for how he'd treated me as a friend over the past year or so, and so on, but since we'd stopped in a subdivision that wasn't finished, a cop on patrol was concerned why we there and questioned us. Once he ran Mr. Bruce's name, the officer told me to exit the vehicle, and asked me if it was okay to search my person. Since I had nothing to hide, that was fine, but he then asked me if I could shake out my bra. Nothing came out of course, but I was offended and this violated my rights to be searched by a female officer on 4-18-06. Even though I ended up being arrested that night, I didn't want any hard feeling between me and Mr. Bruce, regardless of the circumstances. I had never been arrested before, and the last thing I wanted was someone who felt like they had nothing to lose to be angry with me. Mr. Bruce felt so guilty that he was going to provide me with an attorney, but found out that I'd chosen a public defender. I was out six weeks later, but I never regarded our friendship the same.
I found out later that year that his nephew, Jerry Shellnutt, had been released from jail. Jerry confided in me that he thought that his Uncle was getting sloppy, and Mr. Bruce had taken to carrying a Mossberg pump shotgun around with him. Jerry said that he felt Mr. Bruce feared for his life, and that he had gotten into trouble with police who entered an old motel in Forest Park without a warrant. I understand that he was a convicted felon facing a 5yr. sentence for weapons charges. His nephew encouraged him to get a lawyer, and for awhile his life improved and he had gotten a job doing pest control. I agreed to meet him and his new girlfriend, Jodi Cobb, and I helped them when they moved into their place off of Ash Street in Forest Park. (CORRECTION HALE RD.) He even seemed to be more interested in his son, who was 17, and I met him a couple of times after stopping by after work to bring him some food that he requested from where I worked at the East Lake Diner in 2006. By the end of the summer two weeks before 10/11/06, something had changed with Mr. Bruce. He said that he'd been pulled over and harassed by the Forest Park police in his work vehicle, and he wouldn't tell me all the details. It was then that I decided Mr. Bruce was up to something. He wouldn't tell me everything, so I felt that he was way in over his head.
On 10/11/06, I came to his residence to pay him back $80 that I owed him. I had needed money to pay someone to put some used tires on my car. Hesitant to borrow the money from him, after what had happened in April when I was in his company, I paid him back as quickly as possible. He called me into his room, which I thought was strange, as at first he wanted me to hang out with his son and nephew playing video games and stick around. Then he threatened me. He forced me to do something for him that I didn't want to do. He whipped out a bunch of drugs and a scale right there in his bedroom. I had a suspicion that the drugs he was forcing me to run for him may possibly be tainted with heroin, as his girlfriend was really thin and looked like she had been getting thinner since they moved into their new place.
I am compelled to come forward and offer you the following information regarding the possibility of tainted drugs, a blend of meth and opium hit the street in 2006, as Mr. Bruce had acquired these drugs, insisting that they were "stronger", and I wanted no part of it. I left his residence that night, knowing that I might not come back with the money for what he had threatened me to do: drop off at 3 places, OR ELSE. I have tried to be patient, for justice to take its course, but Henry County's Public Defender's Office fired my lawyer. I ended up spending a year in jail, and after serving time for two charges without a trial, I was offered plea bargains, but Judge Crumbley in Henry County wanted to hear my case, and he told me that even if I accepted the plea, that I could retry my case in Henry.
I'm writing this to assist you, that this establishes the allegations of corruption in Clayton County as fact. Since my release, I have emailed Governor Perdue, and I told him that as a taxpayer, he can't look the other way as long as corruption in local counties benefits him: in the fact that my rights were violated, I was threatened, and that Henry County cared nothing of how my cooperation could assist them with other cases, only that I would help them with cell cases or setting someone up. I'm not a drug dealer, I'm not on Henry County's payroll, and they need to realize that by not allowing me full disclosure, that the evidence that I WILLINGLY turned over to them may have not just been meth, but something else, like methopium, something no one had heard of, nor did I want to know what I knew from what Mr. Bruce said about it being stronger.
At this time, it is a matter of our national security, not just a crime involving illegal drugs and local corruption. I have followed the chain of command, but it is important for you to know these details, as our law enforcement doesn't see how this could've started a gang war, with innocent people caught between drug cartels and corrupt law enforcement, (like what's been going on across the border), and they have participated in receiving drug money and putting drugs back out on the street not knowing or having evidence properly tested for its exact chemical structure. This has not only made the justice system broken, but the system in GA has failed to protect us from our enemies abroad, and taxpayers have been jeopardized by those entrusted to protect us.
This particularly concerns me, with heroin being introduced into the illegal drug market crystallized into meth, would usurp the funding from Mexican cartels and transfer that money to homegrown dormant cells tied to Al Qaida. I have tried to pursue these matters the past two years, and Clayton County taxpayers and the council have pressed the issues of investigating the leadership under former Sheriff Victor Hill. I emailed Eldrin Bell, asking him if he had spoken to Porter about the incident in 2004 listed above, and I told him that I would testify at the council meeting if necessary. The recent demotion of Jeff Turner, Chief of Police, has not been satisfactory to resolve all of Clayton's issues, or the cost left to taxpayers in funds that former Sheriff Hill exploited in a day trading scam and declaring bankruptcy after costing the county millions in lawsuits. Turner has only requested the G.B.I. investigate after his performance was found lacking by the council; the same mismanagement of evidence as under Hill: with drugs and weapons, along with backlogging, sexual harassment, and bystanders dying in high speed chases under Turner's watch. It's easy for Turner to take credit for reducing crime when he and Hill simply removed the criminal that they had cut deals with to run drugs/having Mr. Bruce beaten up by their thugs, with Mr. Bruce's lawyer's son at the residence upstairs hearing the entire ordeal and calling the police, afraid that they were going to kill him.
I trust that you will communicate with the G.B.I., so that evidence and cases can be examined to aid you in uncovering how Al Qaida wanted to take over the illegal drug market here in GA in recent years. I can only think that my great grandfather, who was a Sheriff in Sebring FL, would want nothing more than for me to bring forth what was done in the shadows into the light. I come forward in honor of his memory, since my life has already been threatened already, at least I can say that I told the truth. I have two concerns, Sir:
1) Your statement to the media on 11alive.com 6pm segment this evening is very disconcerting: to know that you do not consider taxpayers as "family" when we pay your bills and have kept you as Governor for so long. That you would hinder the process of democracy, which is unconstitutional, in a public building by violating Amendment I (1791) to assemble peaceably, by your censorship of the press, and to redress the grievances we have in this process.
2) Your failure to uphold the Constitution's integrity extends to the former Sheriff of Clayton County, Victor Hill: who violated my constitutional rights by improper search and seizure without a warrant, physical person search administered by a male officer when I am female as being instructed to shake out my bra, and by Hill's coordination using officers outside of his jurisdiction to have me arrested under the premise of coercion. I was arrested twice, 4/18/06 in which the citation was dismissed, with no prior criminal record entered First Offender and completed all but a few hours of community service and paid regularly on my probation for over five months with no violation, until I was threatened on 10/11/06 by the co-defendant who was let go by police on 4/18/06, when I was arrested the first time.
I was told by Judge Crumbley that my situation was one of double jeopardy, one that seemed to contain elements of bill of attainder/ex post facto, and that my I was entitled to pursue Habeas corpus with respect to the nature of illegal search and seizure, search by male officer(s), and threat of physical force by the arresting officer, even when complying with instructions with a total a five officers present with the statement of "We can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way." When I cooperated and did not resist arrest or refuse questioning by Henry County police. I was also told that I have the right to retry my case.
These abuses under your governorship have occurred by misapplication or misinterpretation of the Patriot Act and by your laissez-faire attitude of letting crime and corruption continue at a local level for revolving profit for the state.
Your recent statement is indicative that you have failed to reign in this wild stallion operation, telling all local departments that you won't investigate them or hold them accountable to the G.B.I.'s recent years' probes, pressured by federal regulation and inquiry, but that you just won't support them anymore monetarily, as the game has been cashed out.
I challenge you to clean up this mess you've created for me; as a diligent taxpayer of 10yrs. who has not bled the system of welfare, that even though you imprisoned me unlawfully in your state for an entire year+, as to keep from my grandmother's death bed, when I earned an early release for charges that should've been dropped after adequate investigation, I ask you to please address the problems Victor Hill left current Sheriff Kem Kimbrough, and the burden that Hill has imposed on taxpayers of Clayton and the state of GA.
I am a journalist, and I made the most of my ill-inflicted situation and cited Hill with the violations, that the facility was operating against state standard operation as a private facility that also received state/federal funding. He is now on the run for passing out 100 fake badges, stealing money from the county credit card, and leaving the boiler equipment in the facility's kitchen in shambles! To get very specific with you, Sir, these are the matters of corruption that you've looked the other way about when it comes to local departments handling drug cases, allowing corruption to continue while it was lucrative for the state to pay to house prisoners for mandatory minimum sentences in local county jails, paying them $180 a day per prisoner. Maybe this will help you to understand the position that I have about certain things, as this is the compilation of several articles and local events in recent past:
*GA TECH STUDENT RECEIVED SENTENCING YESTERDAY
Don't you remember that the GA TECH student Ahmed had stolen private information that was on a computer about people who were receiving drug treatment? There was also a
Dr. Aly Ahmed that worked for McIntosh Trails Counseling Centers in the South Metro area, McDonough, Griffin, etc., who thinks that American women should be more like the women of his culture... that's insulting to judge someone's total character, just because they're getting counseling. So either way: both Ahmeds are either family, with the GA TECH STUDENT having access to Dr. Ahmed's records, or by hacking or directly stealing them from Dr. Ahmed, to monitor those who were receiving state supervised care, having undergone drug treatment. I'm convinced that this was to monitor and prevent information about their operations out of GA from being discovered.
We should not be so quick to forget the things we first heard reported in the news about the GA TECH STUDENT, nor neglect the shadow game of the meth market, and terrorist groups trying to control the product by crystallizing opium into meth. As if 6,000 didn't die last yr. from prescription pills, they want to take over the money from the meth user market of 1.4 million, not put anthrax in the drugs, like first thought, though they could do this easier once they infiltrated the meth market here in the U.S. if they became suppliers to local dealers. They wanted to get people addicted to their designer form of methopium, which was the strongest to hit the streets yet.
They tried to cut out the Mexicans in 10/2006, so this is a major issue of methopium slipping right under the radar of local police in Henry and Clayton County, who refused to listen and arrests were made under coercion of co-defendants, involving high-profile lawyer Maccione, and one of his clients; the other who had a Public Defender,who was fired when he, Mr. Herring, took up the case. There are other details, but before a trial could be done, I served the time for the charge as I didn't have a prior record, and Judge Crumbley said that my constitutional rights were violated.
I have since made the military aware of the methopium blend, and they made a statement against Clinton and Obama for supporting Karzai for opium intelligence info, for which they paid him 8yrs. to get information from him.
Instead of working with me on issues of crime and corruption, Detective Hardy and Officer Jason Sanders in Henry County have not aggressively pursued leads that I've provided them, and they've proven inept to deal with the corruption and coordinating instead with the likes of Hill; even though Hill's thugs beat up Maccione's client in his own home, in order to rob Maccione's client of money and drugs. Maccione's client not having knowledge that the synthesized meth contained heroin, that looked like meth, but was way more addictive and dangerous. Hill wanted to run the racket, having his thugs run things, and he used other officers in Henry to make arrests without search warrants, and this process hindered accurate information being provided to the GBI, all for Hill's benefit. Probes had been conducted on Clayton Co., Spalding Co., and one was almost conducted on Henry Co. in 2005.
Here is how this relates to Al Qaida using the Metro area as a hub for funding their operations and trying to take over the illegal drug market in the state of GA:

Thank you for contacting those in support of Bell to be appointed over Turner, so that there are checks and balances. This doesn't address the issue though of the boiler equipment, nor does this rectify that Hill cost Clayton Co.'s and GA's taxpayers MILLIONS in court decisions, and that he withheld over $1 and 1/2 million that was rightfully county money that was returned by Gibson.

I'm under the impression that former Sheriff Hill never procured orders for Turner to have narcotics destroyed, as he was putting those drugs back out on the street. Someone that I know met with an undercover officer in 2005 on Thrailkill Rd., the same person who threatened me on 10/11/06, when I was arrested later that night. The person who threatened me, whose name is Anthony Richard Bruce, was caught up in some agreement I presume with Hill or who was doing Hill's dirty work.
If I may be of any more assistance to you Mr. Bell, or to the council, please let me know. Mr. Bruce also acknowledged having knowledge of guns stolen from my parents' home in McDonough, GA in 2004, that he could get them back for me (how I don't know), and he knew about what happened before he and I ever met. I thought it strange that he knew about that, and I have been concerned that Henry County never followed up on leads and information that I reported to them in 2004 under Detective Hardy and Officer Jason Sanders, so I went deeper to find out the truth. I wonder if any of the weapons in the evidence room there in Clayton can be used to resolve this case in Henry, or if the rumor is true that they were destroyed after they were used to harm someone over a rap contract.
I can't tell you how deeply grateful I am to you and the council, that you have not ignored your duties of service and civic duties to us as taxpayers.

Since Turner wants to ask for a GBI investigation after his performance is questioned, I have no choice but to turn this over to federal authority. The GBI's inquiries have been unsuccessful in the past 5yrs. to monitor and hold local authorities accountable to the law, and this has lead to taxpayer dollars being misappropriated, and there have been people who have had their constitutional rights violated.
I have taken this issue up with Perdue, and when confronted with the former Sheriff's abuses and failure to follow arrest procedures (males searching females)/using police out of his jurisdiction in Henry County when the GBI should've been involved, Karen Handel resigned. I will submit the emails to Perdue, and our conversations, that it may stand that Hill and Turner be held accountable for their actions, to Clayton County, and to the taxpayers of the state of GA.

Churlish souls stint their contributions to the ministry and missionary operations, and call such saving good economy; little do they dream that they are thus impoverishing themselves. Their excuse is that they must care for their own families, and they forget that to neglect the house of God is the sure way to bring ruin upon their own houses. Our God has a method in providence by which He can succeed our endeavours beyond our expectation, or can defeat our plans to our confusion and dismay; by a turn of His hand He can steer our vessel in a profitable channel, or run it aground in poverty and bankruptcy. It is the teaching of Scripture that the Lord enriches the liberal and leaves the miserly to find out that withholding tendeth to poverty. In a very wide sphere of observation, I have noticed that the most generous Christians of my acquaintance have been always the most happy, and almost invariably the most prosperous. I have seen the liberal giver rise to wealth of which he never dreamed; and I have as often seen the mean, ungenerous churl descend to poverty by the very parsimony by which he thought to rise. Men trust good stewards with larger and larger sums, and so it frequently is with the Lord; He gives by cartloads to those who give by bushels. Where wealth is not bestowed the Lord makes the little much by the contentment which the sanctified heart feels in a portion of which the tithe has been dedicated to the Lord. Selfishness looks first at home, but godliness seeks first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, yet in the long run selfishness is loss, and godliness is great gain. It needs faith to act towards our God with an open hand, but surely He deserves it of us; and all that we can do is a very poor acknowledgment of our amazing indebtedness to His goodness.
